For many, that's not easy, especially when it comes to the labyrinth of Medicare plans and options.
A lot of people don’t know how to navigate or even get on Medicare, it can be quite confusing. “We are here to educate and help guide them through the process.” There are Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage, and Part D standalone drug plans.
Although Anderson's company also offers life, health, final expense, and other insurance products, Medicare remains their “main bread and butter.”
“When people are turning 65, this is their initial Enrollment Period, they have a seven-month window to decide what plan works best for them. That’s why we encourage people to call us well before their 65th birthday. A person, for example, must sign up for a drug plan during this period or forever pay a penalty should they decide to add one later, unless they have creditable coverage.”
The annual Enrollment period is October 15th thru December 7th. This is the time to review your coverage and make changes if you so choose.
