Well, it was a little later than our "true anniversary" since we actually launched in June of 2018, but the weather in September was much better and we wanted the party to be held outside, so voila! Sharon and the McKinney & Prosper Lifestyle team as well as Lifestyle Publications really appreciate the support we have received over the past year and a half and we were sorry not all of our advertisers could make the event, but a good time was had for all who attended.
Thanks to the fantastic weather, although the wind played havoc with the ladies' hair for the photos, and the beautiful surroundings on the patio of Harry's at the Harbor, the event was well attended. Both Mayors and First ladies, George and Maylee Thomas Fuller and Ray and Lena Smith came and mingled with the group as Eddie White, the new owner of Harry's at the Harbor, and Alex Cassas, the General Manager, served as gracious hosts.
The cover photo for this issue features the advertisers who attended and who had advertised with us for our first complete year of publications. That included the Fullers and Shane Frame (The Guitar Sanctuary), Ray and Lena Smith (Farmers' Bank & trust), Dr. James and Rachael Ralston (Dermatology Center of McKinney), Jane Clark (Jane Clark Realty Group), Stephanie Talley (Academics Plus), Those not able to attend, but appreciated as well, were Dr. Naveen Setty (Setty Plastics and Aesthetics), Jeff Yates (Albin Roach Attorneys), Gail and Mark Hillman (Waterstone Mortgage),Justine Poffel (The Title Boxing Club), David Yowell (Yowell Construction Company), Lynn Gross (Lynn Gross CPA, LLC). Our host, Eddie White and our publisher, Sharon Duffy are also included in the photo.
Other attendees ranged from frequent and newer advertisers, such as Richard and Kim Harvey (Diesel Barbershop), Lauren Stephan and Jenn Stowers (SBG Hospitality), and Andrew Creme (Southwestern Investment Group). Dr. Nigel Casali of Custom Dental, Joni Boelscher of New York Life, and Debbie Bloyd of DLB Mortgage made appearances as well, making some great networking possible for all.
We look forward to continued success with both old and new advertising partners and continue to be very proud of what the magazine has stood for in our communities. We try to present our readers with the highest quality in the form of our advertising partners as well as in the content, which focuses on our leaders and all they do to give back to their communities, our many non-profit and charity organizations, and outstanding and/or talented individuals.
