The Art of Intentional Style:

Inside the World of Ronald Jones, Interior Designer & Creative Director

Step into a space designed by Ronald Jones and you’ll quickly realize, this isn’t just interior design. It’s expression through texture, silhouette, and detail. As the founder and creative director of R Jones Designs, Inc., Ronald blends timeless European elegance with modern ease. In this issue devoted to fashion and style, he opens up about how his approach to interiors is deeply connected to the way he dresses and ultimately, how he lives.

Where the Story Begins

Design wasn’t his starting point, but it quickly became his calling. “My journey began with a love for art, architecture, and the way people live and feel in their spaces,” he shares.

A turning point came when he landed a project manager role at Tyler Perry Studios, where he discovered how to tell powerful stories through space.

“It taught me the importance of storytelling through design.”

From luxury home renovations to curated commercial environments across Atlanta and Florida, Ronald honed his signature style over the years. Launching R Jones Designs was a natural next step.

Fashion and Interiors: Different Canvases, Same Vision

To Ronald, clothing and interiors are cut from the same cloth-literally.

“Style is a language. It’s how we express identity, creativity, and mood—whether through interiors or clothing,” he says. “Fashion, like design, tells a story. It reflects how we show up in the world.”

His personal wardrobe mirrors the philosophy he brings to his work: elevated, but effortless with a mix of modern edge and old world elegance. His ring for example is an 8 carat emerald cut diamond eternity band. The ring stacked above it is from Tiffany & Co., a meaningful graduation gift from his professor. He wears both of them daily, and they hold deep sentimental value.

“Our signature style is transitional European. Think classic silhouettes, layered textures, natural materials, and bespoke details that feel luxurious yet grounded.”

That same intentional layering shows up in what he wears. “I love a suit with a subtle pattern or texture, crisp shirt, standout loafers and of course my custom Stetson hat. Polished, elevated, effortless, yet bold.”  Gucci, Prada, Christian Louboutin, Hermès and Louis Vuitton are also his some of go to designer looks.

Thoughtful Style, Day to Day

When asked how someone can take their wardrobe up a notch, Ronald’s advice is clear: “Invest in great tailoring. A well-fitted blazer or coat can instantly upgrade any look. Pair that with a signature accessory like a great watch or sleek sunglasses and you’re set.”

Lately, he’s enjoying how current trends are echoing a classic from the past. “I’m loving the return of bold tailoring—structured blazers, wide-leg trousers, and clean lines. It’s confident, classic, and always makes a statement.”

Accessories, he emphasizes, are more than afterthoughts. “They are punctuation marks of any outfit or interior. A great bag, a vintage watch, or bold sunglasses can turn something simple into something memorable.” He pulls from both high fashion and unexpected labels to create his own look. His two necklaces reflect that as well. He wears a custom 4-carat diamond Riviera necklace from The Seven in New York City layered with another custom 18 carat gold paperclip chain with a 2 carat baguette “R” pendant.

“Tom Ford is my go-to for classic tailoring. Versace is perfect for those nights when you want to stand out. Casablanca nails the elevated country club aesthetic and believe it or not, ASOS Men and Abercrombie & Fitch are great for elevated streetwear when styled with intention.”

The Creative Crossover

The relationship between his wardrobe and his interiors is fluid. “They constantly influence each other. A luxe fabric I see on a runway might inspire a custom sofa. Likewise, the mood of a room I design might influence how I dress.”

For Ronald, inspiration is everywhere. “Travel, art galleries, old films, street style, even nature. I’m always observing color palettes, materiality, and the emotion that beautiful things evoke.”

While he pays attention to current looks, he keeps his foundation rooted in personal taste. “I take inspiration from trends, but always filter it through my own lens. The key is knowing what speaks to you and letting trends accent, not define your style.”

A Lifestyle That Drives Design

Ronald’s philosophy of "quiet luxury" extends beyond his interiors and wardrobe, it’s even reflected in his choice of car.

“A Bentley is the ultimate expression of timeless luxury and performance. It’s not just a car, it’s craftsmanship, presence, and attention to detail. That’s exactly how I approach design.”

After years behind the wheel of a G-Wagon, he made the switch when the streets started to feel saturated. “I wanted something different, something that made a statement and aligned more with my personal brand of quiet luxury and individuality.”

Rooted in Roswell

Although his design projects take him all over the region, Ronald feels at home in Roswell’s vibrant creative community.

“Roswell has this amazing blend of charm, culture, and creativity,” he explains. “The energy is inspiring; it feels both elevated and welcoming, which is how I want my work to feel too.”

The rooftop at The Southern Post and its surrounding spaces offered the perfect backdrop for this fashion forward shoot, blending character and style right in the heart of Roswell. Pictured alongside Ronald is local resident Lily Lobuglio, who showcased four distinct looks featuring dresses sourced from local boutique Wedding Angels. The result was a stunning mix of elegance and personality.

Ronald Jones reminds us that fashion isn’t just what you wear, and design isn’t just what surrounds you, it’s about how it makes you feel.
