The Art of Living Well

A Conversation with Graunk Enzenberger, Partner, Minotti Chicago

In the world of high design, true luxury is never loud—it’s intentional, enduring, and deeply considered. Few brands embody this philosophy as effortlessly as Minotti. Founded in Milan in 1948, the family-owned Italian brand has become a global symbol of refined modern living, elevating furniture to the same echelon as haute couture, fine automobiles, and luxury timepieces.

We sat down with Graunk Enzenberger, Partner of the Minotti Chicago showroom, to
explore what defines the Minotti experience—and why the brand continues to set the standard for contemporary luxury interiors.

A Legacy Rooted in Excellence
For more than six decades, Minotti has remained family-run, a rarity in today’s global luxury market. That continuity, Graunk explains, is central to the brand’s DNA. “Minotti was one of the first companies to truly position furniture at a level of luxury as one might collect a watch, a handbag or an automobile.”

Timeless Design for Modern Living
Minotti’s aesthetic is unmistakable: contemporary, yet never trendy. Drawing inspiration from the modernist movements of the 20th century, the brand creates collections designed to transcend seasonal shifts in design.

“Minotti’s taste level is such that everything is made to be timeless,” says Graunk. “You can place a piece in your home today and know it will still feel relevant ten or twenty years from now.”

This balance of innovation and restraint allows Minotti to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of architectural styles and personal aesthetics.

Craftsmanship You Can Feel
One of Minotti’s most distinctive signatures lies in its craftsmanship—particularly in its
upholstery and leatherwork. The brand utilizes high-level sewing machines typically reserved for luxury fashion houses, resulting in detailing more akin to fine handbags than traditional furniture.

“The stitching on Minotti leather pieces looks like luggage or couture accessories,” Graunk notes.
Comfort is equally prioritized. Minotti’s engineering team spends years perfecting proportions, cushioning, and ergonomics to ensure every piece enhances daily living.
“At this level of investment, furniture must be beautiful, functional, and incredibly comfortable,” he adds.

Materials That Define the Experience
Fabric, texture, and finish are integral to Minotti’s design language. The brand collaborates closely with textile manufacturers to develop exclusive fabrics that accentuate each collection’s form and structure.
“Minotti fabric isn’t an afterthought,” Graunk explains. “It’s designed to elevate the silhouette and highlight the architecture of the furniture.”
From tactile bouclés to refined leathers, every material is chosen with intention.

Commitment to Sustainability & Italian Craft
Minotti’s dedication to sustainability is rooted in its commitment to local production. Every piece is made in Italy, with raw materials sourced within a 500-mile radius of Milan.

“Keeping production close allows for greater control, accountability, and quality,” Graunk explains. “It also reinforces our responsibility to craftsmanship and the environment.”

Defining the Essence of Home
When asked what “living well” truly means, Graunk’s response is simple yet profound.
“Living well is being comfortable—technically and emotionally—in your environment.”
Minotti furniture is designed to create spaces that feel calm, balanced, and deeply
personal—where form supports function, and beauty enhances everyday life.

Looking Ahead
As the global design world turns its attention to Milan’s upcoming furniture fair, Minotti continues to lead with quiet confidence—introducing collections that honor its heritage while shaping the future of luxury living.
Whether experienced in the Minotti Chicago showroom or within private residences around the world, Minotti remains a masterclass in craftsmanship, comfort, and timeless sophistication.
Because true luxury isn’t about trends—it’s about how you live.
