Our riff on a Manhattan, The Beretta is served over a big rock, blending Still Austin Cask Strength Bourbon with rich Antica Italian vermouth, Calvados apple brandy, orange bitters, and garnished with an orange peel in a lowball glass.

The name Beretta is a double entendre—a nod to both the elegance of the Italian shotgun as well as the original engineer of the City Hall building. “Beretta & Stiles Co.” was marked all over the original blueprints, so it felt natural for them to have a permanent spot on our menu in this historic setting.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Still Austin Cask-Strength Bourbon
  • 1 ounce Antica Vermouth
  • 1 ounce Calvados Brandy
  • 2 dashes of Orange bitters

Directions

  1. Add the bourbon, vermouth, Calvados, and orange bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
  2. Stir until well chilled, about 20 seconds.
  3. Strain over a large ice cube in a lowball glass.
  4. Twist an orange peel over the drink, rub it around the rim, and garnish.
  5. Enjoy!
