The Bungalows Key Largo

Bungalows Key Largo is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort just over an hour from Miami, situated on 11.5 acres of waterfront in the Florida Keys. While it’s an easy drive for a long weekend, the setting feels relaxed and open, with plenty of space to enjoy the water, the views, and the property itself.

The Bungalows is made up of 135 freestanding bungalows, spread throughout the property gardens and along the water. Each bungalow is spacious and beautifully designed, with a private veranda, outdoor soaking tub, and rain shower that quickly become part of daily life. Inside, the rooms are like your own mini beach house, and daily housekeeping and turndown service add to the 5-star experience.

Food is a big part of the experience, and it is handled better than any all-inclusive I have stayed at, both in quality and variety. Breakfast at Fish Tales is relaxed and generous, with a full buffet, made-to-order omelets, fresh fruit, pastries, and Bloody Mary and mimosa stations, which was a personal favorite. Lunch can be casual or lingering, whether that means grilled fish by the pool or tacos and margaritas at Sea Señor, the beachfront Mexican restaurant.

Sea Señor is lively and social in the evenings, while Bogie and Bacall’s offers a more polished experience with prime steaks, locally inspired seafood, and a sommelier-curated wine list. Beginning the night with a drink at the Hemingway Bar adds to the experience without making it feel formal or overdone.

Days at Bungalows Key Largo can be as active or relaxed as you want. Morning yoga classes are offered daily on the beach, and the open-air Fitness Tiki Hut includes Peloton bikes, treadmills, and free weights. There are two pools on the property, including the quieter Zen Pool, which is tucked away among tropical palms and designed for uninterrupted lounging.

Water activities are a major draw and are easy to access. Kayaks, paddleboards, snorkel gear, and water trikes are included, making it simple to explore the shoreline and surrounding waters. Dolphins and manatees are often spotted nearby. For guests who want to venture farther, daily excursions depart directly from the resort dock, including snorkeling trips, eco tours, and sunset cruises across Florida Bay. Everything is organized seamlessly, from equipment to refreshments.

The Zen Garden Spa is another highlight. It offers indoor and outdoor treatment spaces, eucalyptus steam rooms, Himalayan salt therapy rooms, and waterfront massage cabanas overlooking the bay. The spa feels relaxed and approachable, aligning with the overall tone of the resort rather than trying to stand apart from it.

From start to finish, the experience at Bungalows Key Largo feels private and intentionally exclusive. The resort is impeccably run, and the staff is genuinely warm, attentive, and discreet, creating a seamless stay that never feels crowded or overdone. Whether you’re dining, spending time on the water, or unwinding in your bungalow, everything is handled.

If you’re planning your next getaway, Bungalows Key Largo is well worth considering, and be sure to tell them City Lifestyle Naples sent you.
