At Jang Su Jang, as you gather around the table for a meal with friends, try to wait until everyone's food has been served.
It will be tough not to sneak a bite, but you'll be rewarded for your patience when you stop to admire the entire table of food. The landscape of the freshness and flavors will be as visually delicious as the meal to come. We asked owner and chef Stephen Cho about the dishes and his vision for this season of dining.
Chef Stephen's report
Every dish is thoughtfully crafted year-round with locally sourced ingredients, ensuring each bite is as fresh as it is flavorful. Our menu is designed to pair beautifully with a crisp Chardonnay or a bold Cabernet, though many guests prefer the cultural experience of Soju—a beloved Korean distilled spirit with a clean, neutral profile reminiscent of vodka, yet with a gentler alcohol content. For the adventurous, a “Soju Bomb”—a lively combination of Soju and beer—is highly recommended and always a crowd favorite.
For more than 25 years, we have honored a cherished tradition with our team. Our waitstaff and kitchen crew are gifted with LA Galbi—succulent Korean BBQ beef short ribs—after originally receiving other protein supplements that, over time, were unanimously replaced with this signature indulgence. This ritual reflects not only our appreciation for the people behind the scenes, but also the timeless appeal of our BBQ. In fact, our BBQ secured First Place for Best Entrée at the 2025 Taste of Alpharetta.
Beyond the accolades, it is the consistency of our classics—beloved dishes we have served for a quarter of a century—that has made Jang Su Jang the true “meeting place” for our loyal community of diners. With every meal, we carry forward a legacy of flavor, fellowship and tradition.
