We stayed in touch with all our clients throughout the shut-down, and now we are up and running full time. Daily temperature checks, new hand-washing stations, and PPE are standard on every job-site. The social distancing restrictions do create some challenges, but we’ll do whatever it takes to deliver a successful outcome.
Team Foster at Compass
From the business side of things, the market remained strong during the shut down. Because real estate was deemed essential, we didn’t have a lot of down time. However, our team did work from home as much as possible, and like many others, did lots of cooking, baking, gardening & home schooling. The key to sanity at Team Foster has always been long walks. It would be fun to count up how many miles we logged during the quarantine!
Matthews Winery
The Matthews team really enjoyed the opportunity to team up with other local artisan purveyors and restaurant partners to create the #MatthewsAtHome Family Meal boxes. It allowed us to continue to connect with our farming roots and support other local businesses through a challenging time. In addition, we were also able to continue to see our customers from a distance via our curbside pick-up.

Who knew pajama's had become so acceptable? I didn't have to find an excuse to explain why I was in them all day. Meanwhile, my real estate business has remained very active during COVID. It's challenged me to keep my clients safe, take care of their needs and get dressed.

Over the last few months, we have had the opportunity to pause for a moment and take in all the information available to take into consideration to determine the best course of action. In many ways it was refreshing to be able to look at the business from new perspectives and the opportunity to ignite some new ideas as well. When I first found out that I would have to shut down my practice I went through the stages of grief in warp speed. I had to close all three of my medical aesthetic locations and consider closing the family practice. I quickly realized I could not abandon my patients and hunker down in my basement. My practice is my heritage and legacy of service to the community. My practice manager, Sara and daughters, Olivia(RN), Megan (bookkeeper) and Heidi (marketing) stayed to help us survive. It has been a non-stop roller coaster. Our patients, vendors, lenders and leaseholders have been so gracious in this whole ordeal. With reopening aesthetics we are following the safety measures and making every effort to make patients feel safe. We are so grateful and hopeful for the future and plan to come out of this disaster stronger than before.
