In an industry often driven by trends, and fast turnarounds, Mike Anderson operates on a
different frequency; quiet, exacting, and unapologetically intentional. As founder of Renovation
Flooring and Elite Cabinet Designs, Anderson and his wife Crissie have built successful brands,
and a reputation rooted in craftsmanship, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to quality. That standard for quality, longevity, and detail is the foundation of everything Anderson builds. He’s created more than a business; he’s built a design destination that brings global
craftsmanship to Gulf Coast homes.

At Renovation Flooring, it starts with the materials. The showroom reads like a passport for the
well-traveled eye: French white oak harvested from a single forest along the France-Germany
border, each plank hand-finished for character and clarity. Italian porcelain, engineered for
strength but refined in its appearance, arrives in oversized formats that reduce grout joints and
increase visual flow. “We work directly with mills and manufacturers who take pride in their
process,” Mike says. “You can see the difference. You can feel it underfoot.” There’s also wide-plank European oak with subtle wire-brushed textures, artisan-glazed ceramic tiles from Spain, and commercial-grade luxury vinyl engineered to withstand Florida’s humidity and high-traffic lifestyles. “It’s not about chasing trends, it’s about sourcing timeless materials that perform,” he says.

That same philosophy drives Elite Cabinet Designs, which Mike launched to round out the
renovation experience. The company provides full-service cabinetry solutions, kitchens, baths, built-ins, and specialty storage, built with high-grade plywood boxes, dovetail joinery, and soft-
close precision hardware. “These aren’t just cabinets they’re architectural elements,” Mike says. “They have to look beautiful, but they also have to work every day.” Both businesses operate side-by-side in adjacent buildings owned by Mike and Crissie, an intentional layout that mirrors their integration. Each client, whether a homeowner, designer, or builder, has access to in-house design consultations, curated material selections, and expert project guidance from start to finish. “The goal is to make great design feel seamless,” he says. “Not intimidating. Not transactional.” That same design philosophy, intentional, enduring, and functional, extends into his personal life.

His outdoor kitchen is a case in point: sleek, grounded, and built to last. Leathered black granite
countertops add a touch of rugged luxury, while nature-cast, weather resistant cabinetry from
NatureKast provides seamless storage without sacrificing style. Porcelain pavers underfoot offer the durability of stone with a modern aesthetic, making the space as high-performing as it is
inviting. “It’s my sanctuary,” he says. That same intentionality defines Mike’s off-hours, which he spends grilling, riding motorcycles, and scuba diving where he’s a certified instructor and technical cave diver. “Underwater is the only place I completely clear my head,” he says. “It resets everything.” That mindset, measured, calm, methodical, has become a cornerstone of how he leads his companies. Additionally, he is part of the Destin Bourbon Society, and is an avid collector of rare labels, limited releases, and bottles collected more for the story than the status. “I like knowing the origin of things,” he says. “The backstory matters.”

Ask him about his proudest accomplishments, and business takes a back seat. “My greatest success is raising two amazing daughters,” he says, referring to Finleigh (15) and
Payton (12). “They both know Christ, they’re compassionate, and they’re smarter than me.” Married to Crissie for 17 years, the two built their companies around the principle that family is
not what you sacrifice for success, it’s the very definition of it. “I’ve made it a priority to be
present, and I encourage my entire team to do the same. They now employ 47 people across his vertically integrated businesses. “It’s not just about growth, it’s about building a company people are proud to be part of,” he says. In a world obsessed with exposure, Anderson has built something far more lasting; a legacy measured not in accolades or headlines, but in craftsmanship, character, and the culture he’s created. One plank, one tile, one purpose-driven decision at a time.
