The Fountain Spa: Ultimate Massage Therapy

Come In Out of the Cold and Treat Yourself to Better Health

Most of us consider a day at a luxury spa to be an exercise in beauty or indulgence…but visiting for a massage or facial can offer significant health benefits as well.

Kerry Marshall knows. As the Aesthetician Supervisor at Fountain Spa in Ramsey, she oversees various skincare regimes, including facials and their newest treatment, the HydraFacial. “Our HydraFacial tones skin, giving it a lift, and releasing toxins. It cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, and removes dead skin cells, fusing the deeper layers of skin with antioxidants and peptides to maximize glow.”

Booster serums are added to the process, which work in conjunction with the facial’s LED light treatment to stimulate collagen production and minimize fine lines and age spots. The boosters are specifically customized to address the client’s skin concerns. The Fountain’s Platinum HydraFacial also offers lymphatic drainage through a painless suction method to tone and lift skin while releasing toxins.

The process uses a medical-grade device which is cleaned twice during each treatment and features a sanitary, completely closed-loop system. All treatment surfaces which touch the client are disposable.

“The treatments are performed on the face, neck, and décolletage, making your skin feel and look like glass,” says Kerry. “You will be completely hydrated and cleared of dead skin cells. Botanical extracts are applied to help generate new fresh skin cells.”

During the process, your aesthetician can generate take-home serums for lips and eyes to elevate the treatment with a daily dose of antioxidants. Called HydraFacial Perks, the serums are generated for the client immediately following the treatment so that they can continue using the formula that works best on their particular skin to keep it glowing.”

Erica Roth, Massage Department Supervisor, manages 21 massage therapists at the Fountain Spa across morning and evening shifts.

“Massage offers many health benefits, says Erica. “It can boost your immunity, aid in sleep, and remove lactic acid from your muscles, which helps heal muscle anxiety and stress.”

The Fountain’s Rain Drop Therapy massage (50 minutes) and Mind, Body, Spirit Therapy massage (110 minutes) consist of nine different essential oils like thyme, wintergreen, peppermint, and basil dropped directly on the center of the spine and spread over the whole back and feet for complete absorption. These oils promote circulation and regulate blood pressure. They are anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-fungal. The benefits of this treatment continue working in the body for up to a week.

Herbal oils can also be added to deep tissue or Swedish massage services, relieving achy muscles, pain, and inflammation.

The Fountain’s new Pink Himalayan Serenity massage uses heated pink salt rocks of various shapes and sizes to isolate trigger points on certain parts of the body. Using them throughout the massage addresses muscular aches and pains, while their slightly rough texture helps to exfoliate the skin. The rocks, made up of 84 minerals, are anti-bacterial, and anti-microbial. The treatment also helps boost immunity, aids in sleep and detoxification, and can even help clear sinuses and balance the body’s PH.

Massage is the perfect answer for those experiencing the winter blues, and the Fountain’s heated beds maximize the pampering experience.

The Fountain meets or exceeds all COVID protocols, including temperature-taking, questionnaires, hand sanitizing, and continual sanitizing of all surfaces and equipment. Fountain clients relax and enjoy their treatments with confidence in their safety protocols.

“Since our reopening, we’ve been pleased to see our clients returning regularly. They feel comfortable coming here,” says Kerry.
