The Frisco Resort That Checks All Your Staycation Boxes

The Omni PGA Frisco Resort has it all

If you’re looking for a quick staycation there’s no better place than Frisco. Where else can you find football, soccer, shopping, history, and green space rolled into one? Just under an hour away from Fort Worth, whether you’re looking for shopping, outdoor adventures, sports, or fine dining, you’ll find it in Frisco.

And while there are several resorts and hotels to choose from, the Omni PGA Frisco Resort truly checks all the staycation boxes. Located in the rolling hills of the former Fields Ranch, and the heart of the Monument PGA district, it is minutes away from downtown Frisco, and has enough on-site entertainment to keep everyone busy and world-class golf courses for those who love the game.

The Omni PGA Frisco Resort has 500 rooms and 10 four-bedroom ranch houses complete with kitchens, fire pits, and sprawling views, so depending on your family’s lodging preferences, you’ll find a space that fits your needs.

The hotel has two heated pools perfect for families, and kids can enjoy the splash pad nearby when the sun is shining. Plus, there are plenty of things to do when everyone’s had enough of the water. Kids can enjoy cookie decorating, and everyone can make s’mores and listen to live music.

Being in the heart of the Monument PGA district means there’s plenty to do off the property, too. Regular events include Friday night movies, when the district restaurants are waiting for you to grab a bite and snag a space on the lawn, live music events that welcome families and their furry friends, football on the video wall, and various golf clinics beginning players.

Once you’ve had your fill of fun, don’t forget about the food! The Omni itself has several dining spots perfect for families, including The Apron, where you’ll be able to enjoy Texas and California fare including deviled eggs, pizzas, fried chicken sandwiches, and steak, and the Ryder Cup Grille, which serves up classic American culinary options like club sandwiches, lobster rolls, and burgers.

If you decide to dine in the Monument district, kids won’t be able to resist the sweet treats at Mararget’s Cones & Cups, where they can dig into chocolate-dipped ice cream cones, and parents will love the wide array of adult beverages and available at the Ice House. The best bet for the whole family is the Lounge by TopGolf. A place full of fun, test swing on a virtual golf course, or challenge your crew to a game of zombie dodgeball. The menu is filled with chef-driven meals like filet Bahn mi, a Cubano, a Texas smash burger, and more.

What else awaits you on your staycation at Omni PGA Frisco? The Ronny Golf Park is a four-minute drive away and the two-acre lighted golf park was designed with junior golfers in mind. Built for ages 3-4, it features two reduced-sized 18-hole putting greens, two chipping greens, a flex area, and a playground and obstacle course.

You can also visit the Soccer National Hall of Fame, the Frisco Heritage Museum, the Texas Sculpture Garden or Stonebriar Mall for world-class shopping. And, if it’s the right season, an FC Dallas match is just the ticket.

The best part about a staycation at the Omni PGA Frisco resort? When it’s time to go, it’s just a short car ride home.
