The Gin venue is a quaint and rustic gathering spot in Prosper at 204 W. Broadway, with a sentimental history, reminding us of days gone by.
Prosper was a tiny, little North Texas town that was once just a working gin and train track next to a small cafe for gin workers and townspeople. The food, nostalgia and promise of a good home-cooked meal were about all the town of Prosper needed back in the day.
Fast forward 20 years, and sprinkle in a few new schools, stores and a few hundred thousand people, and one can appreciate what has stayed the same at The Gin, while also enjoying the new and exciting social aspect that offers up a dance floor and stage for live music -- a stage that has become a launching pad for new, upcoming musicians and vocal artists.
The Gin has a phenomenal and creative menu of classics, with twists on old favorites that are sure to please even the most particular palettes. They serve craft and domestics on tap and bottle. Whether it’s eggs over easy, Hot Cheeto Elote, fried pickles, The Don pizza, Caprese bruschetta, sopapilla cheesecake or Cindy's apple pie, there seems to be something for everyone at The Gin.
