The (G)low-Down: July 2025

(aka the low-down... from @drglowup)

June was filled with multiple conferences, from IECSC (International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference) to VCS and Dr. Glow Up's favorite, The Aesthetic Show. Multiple learning opportunities from the latest regenerative aesthetics 'what's coming up next' treatments, to being inclusive on all skin types and colors. We're truly putting effort and intention into making sure we are maximizing what we can do with our Aerolase NeoElite (our 1064nm Nd:YAG laser) and SylfirmX (our radiofrequency microneedling), along with exosomes and PDRN (aka the regenerative molecules), and biostimulators (Sculptra and Radiesse) along the tried and true botox/neuromodulators.

Main themes were that using multiple treatment methods together ensures powerful and natural results. Don't be surprised if Dr. Candice really chimes in on a biostimulator treatment a year and throws exosomes and PDRN onto each treatment. We're discovering that in addition to our tried + true anti-aging skincare (like retinols and AHA's), regenerative medicine is key to gentle yet powerful results.

We're continuing to expand how we offer services-- I must admit, naming our clinic, and really describing what we offer was more challenging than you might imagine. Holistic sounds woo, anti-aging and longevity implies cryo-preservation... but in the end, it's about maximizing health and ability/mobility, decreasing the risk of chronic diseases, and being mobile and healthy enough to make lasting memories with our grandbabies and beyond.

...Should I make a list of who I listen to on socials?

Main things we're focusing on at [Skin + Tonic] in the month of July:

  • Hydrafacials are 20% off, with code HF20-JULY.

  • Working on our signature facial, will be called "The Regenerative Ritual" and I can't wait to share the details with you all! If you're part of our Skinvestment Beauty Bank, I'm texting/emailing you for details to be the first in line.

  • Caviar Glow, which was first offered for Mother's Day, that includes microneedling, PDRN (aka 'salmon sperm facial') and an exosome sheet mask, has found a permanent home on our menu.

  • Speaking of, we are revamping our menu, and will make it public this week! We are focusing on our signature combinations, which really set us apart from the average med spa.

  • We're going to be downsizing inventory, as to make space for new lines: currently trying Cyspera for hyperpigmentation (but in the meantime, I am officially discontinuing Glytone Tranexamide Serum in place of my new favorite: SkinBetter Even INTENSIVE, which has tranexamic acid, anti-inflammatories and some anti-oxidants!).

  • Continuing to love our oral supplements that we offer at [Skin + Tonic ]: BioRewind by SkinBetter, fatty15 (they have a new book called 'The Longevity Nutrient' (we have multiple copies at the shop, come check it out!)

  • Have you met Rebecca, our newest esthi? She's been at Skin + Tonic for nearly 2 months now, and offers sunless tanning in addition to Hydrafacials and microneedling! She is continuing her training for Aerolase + Sylfirm with myself and Giana!

  • Planning a women's summit in September-- there, I'VE SAID IT! I'm planting these seeds to watch them grow-- so if you think you have but the tiniest seedling of a desire to voice your story in hopes that it would inspire others, let's hype you up, and give you a warm, encouraging stage to speak on.

Finally, a personal note. Let's include a before and after that tells a lot about my reasons why. My kids are growing like weeds and it's so important that they see me valuing myself and what I do-- this isn't about wrinkle-free, snatched jawlines... this is about confidence to write your story. This is about feeling empowered to live your boldest, healthiest life, full of unbelievable experiences. If you've known me for a while, you'll know that we've lived through some extenuating, difficult challenges... but it also makes us all the more grateful to experience the life we are creating. We love living an active life with them + for them!
