Retreat With The Health Portfolio

From local half-day “micro-retreats” to week-long immersive international experiences, The Health Portfolio’s retreats focus on Multidimensional Wellbeing.

“I love empowering participants to enhance their experience of life here on Earth and deepen their positive impact on others,” says The Health Portfolio Founder Eva Allen, who infuses her passion for inspiring whole-person health into creating truly magical retreats.

Q. What types of retreats does The Health Portfolio offer?

A. All individuals are invited to join us to (re)awaken the body and mind. Our standard retreats are designed for like-minded individuals. For example, the “Fleurish” trilogy is our international innovative retreat series co-hosted with Emily Avenson of Fleuropean inspired by her seasonal gardens of Chateau Wodemont using flowers as a therapeutic medium: Authentic Artistry (Spring), Authentic Leadership (Summer) and Authentic Entrepreneurship (Autumn). Originally designed for creatives, this series has grown to attract a diverse group.

It’s always a special treat to partner with private groups to customize one-of-a-kind tailored business retreats designed to deepen their organizational culture of wellbeing. I’ve had small businesses bring their whole teams together, while larger companies may focus on people-leaders or executives. Our exclusive retreats can be hosted locally or internationally.

Q. What benefits can participants expect from attending a retreat?

A. Our retreats offer a safe space to explore, discover, connect, learn and grow. Participants leave feeling aligned and energized with a clear trajectory. We believe personal development is professional development, and a culture of wellbeing (especially in the workplace) is defined by its people.

Q. Where are the retreats held?

A. Our local retreats are held at The Health Portfolio’s ranch, a farm-to-table homestead located in Santa Rosa Valley, California. Our reimagined indoor/outdoor space embraces the Slow Living lifestyle. Surround yourself with scenic gardens, homegrown produce and backyard chickens, who lay the most beautiful array of colored farm fresh eggs. Our onsite bio-diverse orchard has over 50 trees including avocados, citrus, stone fruits and more.

Feeling extra adventurous? Your castle awaits. Indulge in 11th century Chateau Wodemont during our international retreats. Built in 1063, our castle has thrived through many different époques. While the amenities have been modernized to make even today’s standards blush, the castle’s unique charm and undeniable authenticity remain. Its expansive historic estate is hidden within private rolling green pastures, babbling brooks and fairytale-like forests. An oasis of calm, Chateau Wodemont provides the perfect place to learn, relax and explore.

Q. How do businesses benefit from employees attending retreats?

A. An employer’s culture of wellbeing is defined by their employees’ experience. Research has proven wellbeing has a positive correlation with productivity as well as talent acquisition and retention, while reducing presenteeism and absenteeism with a 6:1 ROI for every dollar invested in their culture of wellbeing. But how do they define wellbeing? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve met with a new client who says, “We have a GREAT wellness program! I don’t know why employee engagement and satisfaction are low.” After our discovery consultation, we often uncover the company has a workplace wellness program that has fallen flat because it’s hyper-focused on physical elements and outsourcing to vendors trying to digitize wellness. When a business empowers its leaders through our multidimensional wellbeing retreats, they benefit by revitalizing their entire workforce.

Q. What is your background and training?

A. I have a unique combination of education and experience. I hold my graduate degree with an MBA specializing in Leadership accompanying my BS in Cognitive Science specializing in Human Behavior and Neuroscience, combined with 2 decades experience leading teams in both the small business and corporate realms. You can say I’m a connoisseur of the “human-side” of business. I am also a Certified Workplace Wellbeing Program Consultant (CWPC) and licensed DOI health insurance broker specializing in purposeful employee benefits.

“You have all the power in the world! If this resonates with you, email info@thehealthportfolio.com,” invites Eva. “We are thrilled to offer a complimentary workplace culture of wellbeing consultation and/or employee benefits analysis for our Conejo Valley Lifestyle readers!”
