Beginning in the year 2020, we as a community faced a new and resilient foe that few could have ever imagined. During this time of uncertainty, we sought safety, stability, and a return to normalcy, all while trying our best to help those around us. In the midst of it all, Dr. Disha Patel not only sought these comforts for her growing family but also worked tirelessly to provide these reassurances for the community she cherishes.
Dr. Patel drew on her vast experience and compassion to help prepare and administer over 3,000 COVID-19 vaccinations to vulnerable members of the public. This selfless work became a turning point—an experience that inspired her to establish her own business, Laguna Health Pharmacy.
Throughout this period, Dr. Patel found an irreplaceable sense of fulfillment in serving and supporting those around her. When she returned to the corporate world—a place she described as “all about numbers”—she quickly realized where her true calling lay: in delivering personal, heartfelt care to others. Thus, with renewed purpose and growing confidence in her own expertise, Dr. Disha Patel opened Laguna Health Pharmacy in Laguna Hills in June of 2025.
Her business model carries a deeply meaningful goal: reshaping traditional, profit-driven healthcare into one centered on people and connection. As Dr. Patel explains, “We are serving the community, as a family and a woman-owned pharmacy providing personalized care, answering questions, and being there when you need us.” Whether contacting the pharmacy online or visiting in person, patients are always met with kindness, humility, and genuine human interaction—no automated systems, crass employees, nor cold efficiency.
Dr. Patel personally ensures this connection, stating she, “...will take time to know patients, to know their history – their story in order to be able to help them as a whole person and not just a prescription.”
With the unwavering support of her husband, son, and soon-to-be new addition to the family, Dr. Patel remains driven to uplift her community in every way she can. Her warmth and compassion shine through in every interaction, and her dedication is endless. She offers medication delivery services, personally administers various vaccinations, and specializes in packaging prescriptions for skilled nursing facilities, assisted living centers, and private care homes—all to ensure her patients’ health, happiness, and easy access to care.
Though the pandemic has passed, our shared need for safety, stability, and compassion remains. Every day, Dr. Disha Patel exemplifies these values, setting a remarkable example all while expanding the reach of Laguna Health Pharmacy through her personalized approach to healthcare. Looking to the future, she hopes to grow her practice into a compounding pharmacy, preparing customized medications to meet each patient’s unique needs.
