Theme park lovers are in for a treat when stepping onto the grounds of Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth and newest park: Universal Epic Universe. Just about a 6-hour drive or a quick 1.5-hour flight from Atlanta to Orlando, Florida.
The amusement park is mesmerizing, literally jaw dropping. Once you gain your composure, the real adventure begins inside one of the five themed worlds: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, and my personal favorite, Super Nintendo World.
I can’t remember the last time I laughed while screaming uncontrollably and nearly tearing up from the adrenaline rush while experiencing thrill rides like the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry and Mine-Cart Madness (Super Nintendo World).
Here’s how to plan your visit smart.
Start with a package
I always say time is money so don’t overcomplicate your travel planning if you don’t have to. Here’s one reason why: You could save up to $300 per person booking flight and hotel bundles on Expedia’s app or website. Even better, you can also add Universal Orlando Resort park tickets to your booking. If you don’t like waiting in lines, go VIP by adding the Universal Express tickets to your package as well. It’s worth it to maximize your time enjoying the attractions.
Be strategic about timing
Since Epic Universe opened in May 2025, the park has attracted large crowds especially around Halloween Horror Nights and the holidays. Book early for peak seasons, and if your schedule is flexible consider changing your travel dates to snag better deals.
Set price alerts before you commit
Give yourself plenty of time by tracking airfare and watch for deals. Expedia has a price-tracking tool to notify you when flight prices increase or decrease. A little patience and planning can mean more savings or room in your budget to splurge on the park’s treats and souvenirs.
