1845 Taste Texas began with such clear vision that the intentionality of its existence is apparent in every detail, from the lighting fixtures, to the proud eye of Sir Loin the longhorn on the wall, to the pork chop that is said to rival Perry’s. This intentionality is the most defining point of 1845 Taste Texas, says founder Marty Bryan, who co-owns the restaurant with partner Brian Gasperson.
“We wanted to capture the essence of both Dallas and Fort Worth,” explains Marty. The food speaks Fort Worth. But the high-end design aspect of the restaurant’s location and atmosphere speaks Dallas. The restaurant as a whole, however, positively screams Texas with its locally sourced steaks and the crooning of all Texas born artists through the speakers. The use of the smoker, also, is an integral part of their Texas inspired menu with its smoked prime rib, pork chop, pork belly, meatballs, wings, salmon, and artichokes.
Lakeside Village’s 1845 Taste Texas blends high-end dining with an authentic Texan feel, which means you no longer have to go all the way to Dallas for an upscale experience, or go to downtown Fort Worth for the taste of the Lone Star State on your tongue.
