One of my favorite things to do is explore. Whenever we travel and visit a new area, we love discovering the surrounding towns, local sights, hidden gems and especially the restaurants.
I love getting new ideas and seeing how different people and places do things. It inspires me. Sometimes the smallest experiences can open your mind in the biggest ways.
Are you stuck in your own bubble, or are you exploring new ideas?
Even in business, it’s exciting to look at fresh perspectives and change things up a bit. The same goes for cooking—I’m always trying new recipes and flavors just to spark creativity and discover something different.
Life isn’t very exciting if we never stretch ourselves. Think about the possibilities that can happen when you step outside your comfort zone. I think that’s one of the reasons I love my work on the radio so much. I get to hear new stories, meet incredible people and learn how others are living their best lives.
One of the things I love most about our community here in Ventura County is how many incredible people, hidden gems and inspiring stories are waiting to be discovered. Every week I meet someone doing something amazing—opening a business, helping others, creating art, supporting families or simply showing kindness in a world that desperately needs more of it.
There are so many ways to enrich our lives if we stay curious. Where are you stuck? Where could you start thinking outside the box a little more?
Of course, not every new idea will be a great one…but you never know unless you try.
So this month, I encourage you to explore a little more:
- Take the scenic route.
- Try something new.
- Meet someone new.
- Say yes to an invitation.
- Support local.
- Get out from behind the screen and into real life.
Because often the best discoveries aren’t places at all…they’re people, possibilities and moments we never expected. We’re better together.
