The Kollective officially opens January 8, although you may have already heard of it. Even its soft opening made noise.
The Kollective is a hybrid gym and workspace. It’s the brainchild of Jeremy Hills, a personal trainer who has worked with professional athletes from the NFL to NHL and a host of CEOs prior to creating The Kollective to bring everyone together. He told Austin Life, “We really wanted to bridge the gap between performance and community in a unique way that spoke to the people. We are much more than just a gym and wanted to provide the services and a home for the modern-day professional.” We caught up with him to learn more about this space that also includes saunas, and a coffee bar powered by Super Coffee.

What’s been the most challenging part?
Construction! Ha. It’s out of anyone’s control. Luckily, we were able to just about stay on schedule, but man, it was close.
Do you have plans to open additional locations?
I want to make sure that we deliver on our word to the people here first, but yes, there will be multiple locations around the country.
What’s your favorite quote?
“Consistency will separate us all in the end.” It’s a quote that has helped me through tough moments as well as mundane moments alike and is one that I have lived by for many years.
