On those hot August days time spent at a splash pad or water park is necessary! Cool down at City Park pool or the numerous splash pads around Fort Collins!
Camping Trip
For the outdoorsy families camping is a great way to get out and enjoy the weather and natural Colorado landscape. Whether it’s rustic tent camping, comfortable camper camping, or luxury cabins, the time out in nature with your family is time well spent!

Live music is not hard to find around Fort Collins! There are tons of venues that have live music and are family friendly. Enjoy a summer concert in the park, at a brewery the whole family loves to visit, or a bigger venue in town to add some excitement to any night!

A day out on the boat, paddle board, kayak, etc. is a day full of making memories and fun! Fort Collins has a few lakes to choose from when it comes to a day out on the lake. Don’t own any aquatic vehicles or equipment? Renting is always an option so you can get out and enjoy the water!

The end of summer always brings the fun with fairs and carnivals! Don’t miss out on the exciting rides, delicious food, and entertainment that hits this time of year. It’s the perfect way to end the summer with a bang!

Need a quick way to entertain the family and also provide family memories you’ll cherish? Pack a picnic and head out to your favorite park, a new place with excellent scenery, or out on a hike at the top of a mountain or in a flower-filled meadow. It’s hard to pick a bad picnic place!
