‘The Meador Affect’
GILBERT COUPLE CELEBRATES LIFE IN GILBERT WITH FOOD, FROLIC, FUN AND A NEW SHOW
Every once in awhile a couple comes along that is instantly recognizable as two people whose destiny was written in the stars. The undeniably adorable chemistry between husband and wife Jeff and Donna Meador is now poised to catapult the duo into the celebrity universe. Even with such admirable and lofty undertakings on their immediate horizon, they are perfectly content to share their passion for Gilbert’s food landscape and their love of their neighborhood and community.
Donna hails from the New York and New Jersey and has lived in Gilbert since 2011 when she moved here with her late husband. She was grief-stricken when her husband became ill ad died. She started a blog called “Daily Dose of Donna.” Donna explains, “It became a message of hope for not just widows, but for people to be delivered in thought and set their dial to ‘joy.’ That was my message for four years and I did that every single night.”
She wasn’t necessarily looking for love but says that her late husband and the man upstairs had different plans for her, and she met Jeff online. The two hit it off immediately and were married last year. The two are now building their life together, both personally and professionally while living in a picturesque Gilbert lakeside condo that they are proud to call home.
Jeff grew up in a small farming town in Illinois loves that Gilbert has the same small-town appeal that he loved when he was growing up. “Everyone is personable here and everywhere you go, people are wonderful, and the business owners are wonderful,” says Jeff.
The Meadors have no shortage of favorite restaurants and happily shared their “go-to list.” “We have quite a few Gilbert restaurants that we frequent,” explains Jeff. Some of their favorites are Zappone’s Italian Bistro, Zorba’s Greek Café, Flancer’s, Bergie’s Coffee and Casanova Brothers Pizza. Jeff adds, “One of my favorite restaurants of all time and whenever I have a business associate that asks where we can meet for lunch, I always say, ‘Joe’s Real BBQ!’ It is part of the real Gilbert.”
They also love to share a favorite Gilbert locale with friends and visitors. “We like Barnone and Joe’s Farm Grill,” explains Donna. “It’s very unique and we can walk the premises and show them community the garden. It’s a really cool hangout.”
Jeff chimes in, “One of favorite places to hang out is on our back patio, and even before COVID. We really enjoy going out by the beautiful lake. The first-time people come over here, they say, ‘This is a little taste of paradise.’” He adds that he and Donna are living in the perfect place and expects that they will never move.
Donna and Jeff also both work for LegalShield. Jeff says, “We have a passion to help people empower their lives. LegalShield allows you the same protection that millionaires and multi-millionaires have.” The company provides access to lawyers to assist in all manner of legal situations.
The Meadors were contributors to the recent best-selling book, “1Habit For Entrepreneurial Success – Simple Life-Changing Habits to Transform You Forever.” They are also currently working on writing a new book together that will touch on some religious and spiritual angles. “We’re going to co-author the book! Isn’t that cool?” gushes Donna.
The adorable couple was recently named a Power Couple of Excellence in 2020 for by Forbes Riley, known as “The Queen of Pitch.” But the good news doesn’t stop there.
Showcasing their electric personalities, Jeff’s singing, Donna’s good-natured insightful advice and the couple’s unique views on the world, the two created a Facebook Live show entitled “The Meador Affect.” When said correctly, it sounds like “The Matter-of-Fact.” On the show, viewers get the real Donna and Jeff experience, with all the fun, some music, great advice, wisdom, words of encouragement, and just a dash of sass.
They may have met each other later in life but they are moving forward quickly with the unbridled enthusiasm of the two newlyweds that they are and a huge project right around the corner. “The Meador Affect” has been procured by an executive producer who owns 14 television networks and is now launching as a TV show in 190 countries. “People love the two of us bantering back and forth,” laughs Donna.
“We’re trying to reach couples to show them they can have what we have,” says Jeff. “We talk about our relationship.
