The Nanny Matchmaker

Austin Premier Nannies

Meghan Copler started babysitting as a teenager and quickly blossomed her babysitting business to 15 families. Fifteen years later she’s launched Austin Premier Nannies. “Working with children is something that always came naturally to me. I considered becoming a teacher, but prefer working with families one-on-one. We caught up with Meghan to learn more.

What inspired you to star Austin Premier Nannies? From a young age it was my dream to run my own company. After years nannying and working with some fantastic agencies I knew it was something that I wanted to bring here to Austin. As much as I loved working with kids on a daily basis, I absolutely love helping families find their perfect nanny as well as helping nannies find their dream job. It’s incredibly rewarding!

Do you do primarily place live in nannies? Full-time nannies? Babysitters? We do it all! We place live-in, full-time, part-time, temporary care, summer nannies, Newborn Care Specialists, babysitters and event sitters.

How long in advance do you have to book a babysitter for a date night? We have an app where families can book their own pre-screened sitters. It is possible to book day-of, but since our sitters are in such high demand, we recommend booking at least 72 hours in advance.

Can a Newborn Care Specialist help teach new parents the basics of caring for a newborn? Newborn Care Specialists are trained to help guide and educate parents with all aspects of newborn care. This most often includes setting up healthy feeding and sleep schedules, helping with breastfeeding and caring for the baby at night so the parents can get some proper rest.

What makes Austin Premier Nannies unique? Having worked with all kinds of families from across the country and Europe, I have truly seen and experienced it all. This experience has given me a much deeper understanding of how different families operate and what they may be looking for in their nanny. All our caregivers are carefully screened and must pass strict employment requirements. They’re at least 18-years-old with a minimum of 3 years of childcare experience, are CPR/First Aid certified and background checked.

As a former nanny myself, I'm a huge advocate for the nannies being represented by my agency. I know I have done my job well when both parties are happy.
