Visit the Greens Country Club in Oklahoma City on any warm day, and you'll likely see someone enjoying an Oklahoma classic cocktail: the Club Special. Legend has it that the Club Special was invented at an Oklahoma City country club decades ago, and the refreshing lime, Sprite and vodka drink has made its way into golfers' (and everyone's) hearts and bellies.
"It is a great cocktail to have at a golf course," says Greens General Manager Katie Stump. "We also do a spin on it and serve a frozen Club Special by the pool during the summer. It really is an Oklahoma thing."
