A Paloma made with Doña Vega Mezcal offers a break from that tired Margarita for your next boozy brunch. Doña Vega is founded and produced by a group of women who believe they have created the perfect mezcal.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Doña Vega Mezcal
- 3/4 ounce triple sec
- 3 ounces grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
- Club soda
- Ice
- Grapefruit wedges
Instructions
-
Add ice to the cocktail shaker.
-
Pour in the mezcal, triple sec, grapefruit juice, and lime juice.
-
Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
-
Add ice to a highball or tumbler cocktail glass (a Nick and Nora glass adds a sophisticated touch). Strain the cocktail into the glass.
-
Add a splash of club soda on top. Slice a tiny slit into your grapefruit or lime wedge and perch on the glass for a garnish. A salted (or even sugared) rim is optional, or even a sprig of rosemary or mint!
