The Perfect Eye

Madison Boutique Owner Fotini “Fay” Rempfer gives fall transition flawlessly

Some people discover fashion. Others are simply born with an eye for it. Long before she opened The Perfect Eye Fashion House in Madison, owner Fotoni “Fay” Rempfer had an innate love of style. “As a kid, I always wanted to go to Macy’s with my mom and my aunts,” she recalls. “Even back then I was a little fashionista.”

She left a successful career in marketing to pursue her passion, and she's helping women feel confident through timeless style. “You can wear whatever you want. You just have to have the right items." Now, Fay shares four effortless looks to take your wardrobe from summer into fall.

Look #1
Flowy Pink Bohemian

Our first look is the epitome of versatile. This gorgeous dress can be worn by women of all ages for any occasion. Throw it on, and you’re instantly chic.

FAY: “I love this look because it’s very light. During the fall it’s cool in the morning, but hot in the afternoon. This dress is airy. When I originally bought it, it looked frumpy on the model because it wasn’t accessorized. But if you add a really good belt and a necklace, it’s just effortless. The colors aren’t too summery; there is a little bit of fall color. It feels great.”

Dress: Olivaceous
Belt: Most Wanted
Bag: Two Amicis
Shoes: Oasis Society

Look #2
Icy Blue Embroidered

This dress is simply a standout, but in an old-money-not-trying-too-hard kind of way. The fabric is rich and luxurious without revealing too much. Does it cost $100 or $1,000? You’ll never tell.

FAY: “With this one, the dress really does the talking. It’s an elegant look. The bracelet is custom-made. It’s cast from the original Chanel perfume bottle from back in the day; they used it as the cast to make the charms, so it’s very classy. The bag is handmade in Greece. Then, a beautiful turquoise earring, which really complements the rest of the dress.”

Look #3
Gray All Day

The best outfits contain pieces that can be worn in one hundred different ways. Pair this sweater with jeans, the belt with a dress, or the skirt with a t-shirt; the options are infinite. And that bag? It’s big enough to hold all your secrets.

FAY: “This is one of my favorite outfits. I love this silk skirt because it’s so easy to wear. You can dress it up or down. You can wear it with a denim jacket and a pair of booties. And that’s a cardigan I personally like because it’s a little on the sexy side, but not so provocative that you feel uncomfortable. And then everything looks better with a belt! The belt matches the tones of the skirt, but it contrasts nicely with the gray cardigan. It’s fall without feeling too hot.”

Look #4
Look Out Leopard

Bold. Powerful. Fun. These pieces will take you from the boardroom to a night out all in the same day. The details are so elevated, coming back down may take a while.

FAY: “I’m obsessed with leopard. Or is it cheetah? Who knows the difference! I love that shirt with the crystals around the collar and sleeves. It’s such an elevated fall look. And the barrel pants are so flattering; they're high-waisted with a nice little curve. They're ankle-length, so it’s easy to wear with a pump or a bootie. It’s very stylish and fall, but very lightweight. And the furry shoes! Obviously, they look like designer shoes, for a fraction of the price. You feel like you’re in slippers, but you’re not.”
