Everyone notices shoes; they send a powerful message about the person who wears them, which is why most women choose their footwear very carefully. With this in mind, offering shoes that are unique, fashionable and comfortable was the goal of Gabriela Vivas, owner of Dparz Shoes in Ridgewood who found the perfect fit thousands of miles away, in Brazil.
“The brand Tanara was introduced to me by one of my partners who works as a footwear buyer in South America, and I immediately fell in love with the brand,” she says.
Gabriela travels there twice a year to meet with designers Tanara and Raphaella Booz, who customizes a unique shoe collection for her customers.
“Each shoe is made in only nine pairs with authentic materials and the finest leather, so they truly are one-of-a-kind,” Gabriela says.
Dparz also offers exotic handbags to complement their shoe offerings.
“Our customers are loyal. They know when they buy shoes from us, they won’t be found anywhere else,” Gabriela says. “We like to say that comfort is key, but style always comes first.”
