Due to Covid-19, the Pink Frog Foundation had to pivot and present its ninth annual breast cancer awareness and fundraising event “The Pink Frog Affair: An Evening of Poetry, Music and Dance” virtually. Streamed live in October, The Pink Frog Affair featured virtual performances by a variety of artists, including award-winning gospel artist Jekalyn Carr, comedian and actor Jonathan Slocumb, and the highly acclaimed Dance Theatre of Harlem. Breast cancer survivors shared their personal testimonies, and the Pink Frog Legacy Award was presented to veteran journalist Monica Kaufman Pearson for her tireless advocacy for breast cancer awareness. The event raised nearly $90,000 to help provide maid service, nutrition support, and transportation to individuals undergoing breast cancer treatment in metro Atlanta.
