New & Noteworthy: The Post Montecito

Enter effortless luxury

There's a new gathering place in town on a private lane in Montecito. At the corner of Los Patos and Cabrillo, you'll find The Post, a collection of specialty shops and destination restaurants.

Six historical buildings were restored to house a trove of known brands, up-and-comers, and dining, representing the charm and beauty of the Coast. A tranquil destination for locals and visitors, the Post's upcoming calendar lists pop-ups, wine nights, cookouts, workshops, kid's craft events, and more.

The developers, Joey Miller and David Fishbein, bought the property in 2022 and jumped at the opportunity. "Every detail, from preserving the mature vines and gardens to curating the retailers and restaurants, was guided by our goal to create a place that feels rooted in history and fresh for the community," says Joey. "Opportunities to restore and reimagine gems like this rarely come along."

Joey and David have ties to the area since their childhoods, and David recently got engaged and married here. He explains, "Each retailer and restaurant was carefully selected for their quality, vision, and ability to offer a memorable experience for visitors. For example, Maygel Coronel’s store at The Post is her first location outside of Colombia, while Merlette opened their first store here."

We're already fans of Little King Coffee, a family-owned Buellton coffee shop opening a sister shop here—read more about them on page #!
