There’s something about knowing why you show up each day. It’s even more powerful when you realize the answer is very simple. It’s about connection; connection to people, stories, nature,  emotions, this world and the human experience. It’s about making people smile, awakening their sight, inspiring their next step and doing it in a way that makes you come alive. The following gentlemen have found it and are honest enough to say they’re still discovering it daily.

What is your passion within your work?
My passion within my work in nature photography is capturing the quiet moments that most people overlook, the stillness of a mountain lake or the expression in a wild animal’s eyes. I love being able to tell stories without words, to freeze a moment that reminds people how beautiful and alive the world is. More than anything, I’m passionate about helping others feel something through my work: awe, peace, connection, even urgency to protect.

What is a quote that you find inspiring?
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” — Nelson Mandela

What is one word of advice that you like to live by?
"Believe."
Belief is the start of everything. Before action, before success, before change, there’s belief. It’s what makes impossibilities into reality. Even when no one else sees it, belief gives you the power to keep showing up.

My adventures have taken me from Iceland’s dramatic vistas to Costa Rica’s vibrant jungles.

What is your passion within your work?
It really is a combination of things. It's striving to have the "perfect shift." It's having a group beckon you to their table and tell you what a fantastic experience they have had. It's seeing a group of individuals that are all pulling the rope in the same direction every day and seeing all the cogs in the system spinning at the same time and at the same speed. When you are walking through the dining room on a packed night and your feet aren't touching the floor, that's the passion. That is what brings me to the restaurant and ultimately to the baseball field each day. The similarities of how a baseball team wins games and a restaurant team has a great service are oddly and incredibly similar.

What is a quote that you find inspiring?
Billie Jean King once said, "Pressure is a privilege. It only comes to those that earn it." I love that. I tell that to my players all the time, “You've earned this pressure, and it's a positive thing.” The same goes for that young, inspired, future restaurateur. They want the opportunity to feel that level of pressure, too. It's wildly inspiring.

What is one word of advice that you like to live by?
Persevere. Followed closely by appreciate.

Radio Personality/DJ & Emcee

My DJ business is Dan Hardee Entertainment and my radio station is 99.5 The Mountain, owned by Audacy. They are kind of lumped in together since everything I do is connected with the media.

What is a quote that you find inspiring?
“Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.” - Casey Kasem

What is your passion within your work?
My passion is creating moments that connect with people. Whether it’s a great song, a funny story or just making someone laugh. That’s been my thing my whole life. Whether I’m on the radio or hosting a wedding or event, I love knowing I can set the tone, tell a story and give people something they’ll remember. Honestly, I don’t even consider this work. It’s just fun, I happen to get paid for. Making someone’s day is truly what fires me up.

What is your word of advice that you live by?
Manifesting is everything. I knew when I was a kid that I wanted to work in media. Once I found the perfect way to entertain to make a living in college, the sky was the limit. My mom always told me to shoot for the stars, no matter what. It's stuck with me–lots of hard work, building real relationships and understanding that timing is everything. And whatever you do, never burn bridges. Put yourself out there. Perfect everything. Learn to be the best brand in life that you can possibly be. And most importantly, have fun!

What is a quote that you find inspiring?
"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." - Robert Collier

What is your passion within your work?
The best part about my work is getting to hear people's stories. I have the privilege of getting to know people at some of the most vulnerable points in their lives and they entrust me to help them feel better in some capacity. I take that responsibility very seriously and enjoy developing these connections greatly.

What is one word of advice that you like to live by?
Chase two rabbits and you'll catch none! I've really been trying to incorporate this into life lately and focus on the here and now.

CEO / Owner, E Class Transportation

What is your passion within your work?
I am the CEO of Poonam’s by Design, my wife’s interior design and renovation business and owner of E Class Transportation. These two new ventures became a newfound passion after retiring from my previous career in law enforcement over two years ago. While I’m not a designer or contractor like Poonam, years of collaboration with her have given me insight—and a few strong opinions!

As CEO and husband, my role is to support the business in any way needed. I love seeing clients smile when a project exceeds expectations—and if it doesn’t, I’m committed to making it right. I understand challenges come with the territory, but we embrace them as opportunities to grow.

My background in corporate leadership and law enforcement has equipped me to handle a wide range of situations with professionalism and grace. Beyond service, I'm passionate about building a positive, uplifting culture for our team. Work shouldn't always feel like work—we’re fortunate to have an incredible, diverse team, each member bringing something powerful to the table. Keeping them motivated and happy is just as important as satisfying our clients.

Another part of my passion lies in delivering excellence through personalized, membership-only luxury black car services at E Class Transportation.

What is your passion within your work?
I'm most passionate about making the world smile. Be it through my Art of Fashion or by spreading good energy.

What is a quote that you find inspiring?
Live your best. Give your best.

What is one word of advice that you like to live by?
One word would be hard. I live by a simple rule of mine. That's to make sure I make at least ten people a day smile. The goal is that 10 of the people are strangers.

Borris also has a nonprofit organization called Saving Lives Foundation. Their mission is to be a community-based program dedicated to empowering youth from under-resourced communities through arts-based education designed to help build identity and self-esteem, and rebuild community, empathy and opportunity. www.savinglivesfoundation.net
