Custom clubfitter and clubmaker, Dan Burnfield, says there are five ways to improve your golf game: taking lessons, practicing what you’ve been taught, improving your mental attitude, buying equipment that fits you, and playing the game…and he can help you with the first four.

“As well as being a clubfitter, I am a USGTF Golf Teacher, Certified Golf Coach, and a Certified Golf Psychologist,” says Dan. “We improve your score from tee to green, and the bottom line is I provide a better game and a happier golfer.”

Augusta Custom Clubs recently moved to its new location on Gordon Highway.

“When I moved to this location, I added the latest technology,” explains Dan. “I use launch monitors, Blast Motion technology, 4D motion technology, and experimentation to fit and coach golfers.”

Custom club fittings are broken into three parts: woods, irons, and the putter.

“For the fitting, we attempt to find the correct length, weight, flex, lie angle, total weight, grip size, and club head, allowing each golfer to hit the ball correctly,” says Dan. “They swing with their own golf club first, then they take swings with equipment that I give them based on the measurements I got off of their equipment. After the fittings, we build the club to those specifications so that we get a club that improves the player’s swing.”

Dan is the only person in the CSRA certified by both Golfsmith and Golfworks. He handles clubs and putters made by Tour Edge, Tom Wishon Golf Technologies, Eagle Rebirth Golf, and Alpha Golf as well as Seemore putters.

Visit the new location at 2186 Gordon Highway. More information on services can be found at AugustaCustomClubs.com.
