Thomas Fuller once said, “A stitch in time saves nine.” Universally, the world understands the meaning behind this quote. Take the time to face the problem as it arises. Wise words, but the execution tarries as we live in a culture that wears businesses, productivity, to do lists, and being constantly on the go as a badge of honor. A 15-minute break in stillness in the midst of our busy lives is for the weak. Or is it? Research has consistently proven that increased productivity, contentment, new and creative ideas, increased problem-solving skills, and improved relationships are almost always found in a place of stillness.
The Tea Charmer is a locally owned boutique tea retail store nestled in the historic town of Gruene specializing in loose leaf teas, vintage tea-ware, and tea condiments for customers to purchase and make at home. The shop is truly an experience as every tea features tester jars where customers are able to smell, see, and touch the beauty of the tea leaves. There is even a vintage telephone booth to capture photos of our customer’s nostalgia experienced in the shop. It is designed for customers to come in and go from a place of wandering to refuge. To create a longing in our customers to find this same refuge within their own homes. This is a sacred place, where our customers discover beauty lies in its purest and simplest form. The whistling of a tea pot, organic tea leaves sifting through their fingers, and stillness. A timeless experience.
