INGREDIENTS
2 ounces bourbon or whiskey
½ to 1 teaspoon maple syrup
2 dashes bitters
Ice, large cube
Orange peel
Luxardo or cocktail cherries
INSTRUCTIONS
In a lowball glass, pour the bourbon, ½ teaspoon maple syrup and dashes of bitters. Stir to combine. Add a large ice cube. stir in a circular motion for about 20 seconds. Taste. Stir in ¼ to ½ teaspoon more maple syrup for a sweeter drink. Using a vegetable, peeler remove a hefty strip of orange peel. Gently twist it over the drink to release the oils. Place the orange peel in the glass. Enjoy.
