The Woman Behind the Sparkle

Sarah Dick’s Power, Purpose & Heart; The Story of a Woman Turning Support Into a Movement

With pink outfits and a smile that lights up the room, you might assume Sarah Dick is all glam and no grit… but you’d be wrong. From working to develop client and partner relationships for the country’s number one mortgage retailer and leading one of Northern Colorado’s most influential women’s networking groups, to being mom to five bonus children, drive isn’t just something she talks about, it’s something she lives every single day.

And that’s only the beginning. Sarah serves on the Windsor Chamber of Commerce board and contributes to numerous regional associations, quietly shaping the community she loves and pouring her energy into causes that matter. Her involvement isn’t for recognition, it’s for impact, and the people around her feel it.

Many would be intimidated by the 32-year-old dynamo, not expecting her to be approachable, warm or even bubbly. Quick with a smile and a hug, Sarah proves her natural affinity to help and connect with an air of humility and friendliness. She’s the kind of woman who lights up a room without ever needing to announce herself.

A transplant from Vernal, Utah, a “tumbleweed town” at the time, Sarah was the first in her family to leave home and go to college, leaving behind a large, close-knit family who shared deep roots in the community. She worked in the oil and gas industry while attending Mesa University in Grand Junction. Her job helped put her through school, and Sarah again proved her ambition when she talked her supervisors into allowing her to establish an office in the Denver area. It was there she met her significant other, Kye, and stepped into the role of bonus mom to his five children at just 21 years of age.

Though determined to make her mark on the industry she had grown to love, Sarah found that the long hours took their toll. A friend recognized the stress and recommended she cut her ties and begin a new career path in the real estate industry. This move eventually brought her to Cross Country Mortgage, where she loves making an impact while working with friends.  “I never want to work anywhere else, even if I won the lottery, I would want to stay.”

In 2021, with the pandemic slightly loosening its grip, Sarah and a select group of other women business leaders found themselves searching for creative ways to support each other’s business efforts. This led to Sarah founding NOCO Women in Business.

NOCO WIB started with less than a dozen members. Today, the networking group boasts more than 4,000 followers. The group’s growth is due to the continued contributions to the local business community and its unparalleled support of women entrepreneurs and non-profit leaders. Though impressive, its impact on Sarah is much more profound than she had dreamed of or expected.

In 2025, when Kye faced a serious health challenge, Sarah always knew she had community, but when people rallied around her, her family, and her step kids, it was a level of support she could never fully explain. It was a reminder of the power of genuine connection and the kind of community she helped build.

Now, at 32 and officially an empty nester, Sarah is stepping into a new season. The “kids” are now all young adults with college, kids, homes and new jobs all their own. While she continues to build community and grow her business, she is also making time for the things she loves most. You can find her outdoors camping, fishing, golfing, traveling, spending time at the lake, and enjoying quality time with friends and family.

“Growing up in Utah, I had obstacles I had to overcome, and living the life I do today is something I never truly thought possible. I am proud of myself for pushing for this life, and proud that I found someone I love more than anything, who has built this life with me. I am forever thankful.”
