Gilbert Ladies

Women Groups in Gilbert working together for the greater good, personal growth, and having a little fun together

Women, we can be a lot of things. Bosses, Mothers, Wives, Friends. Being a strong independent woman is one of the most empowering feelings but oftentimes we forget to take a break and support each other. Women supporting women has become the focus of the feminist movement, here in Gilbert there are groups of women striving to build one another up while having a lot of fun! Empowerment is the process of becoming stronger and more confident, and that's what makes each of these unique groups shine! If you're looking for a strong group of ladies to join for a glass of wine, grab a movie with, or volunteer to do some good we’ve listed our favorite gal pal group!

GILBERT GIRLFRIENDS- “Girl Power” is a phrase at the forefront of recent headlines and The Girlfriend Connection would like it to keep it that way!  Co-Founded by Liz Norwood and Allie Stark in August of 2019, The Girlfriend Connection boasts over 18,000 Facebook members in local groups across15 states. In a world prone to digital interaction, this on-line group ironically focuses on personal engagement between its members. Activities range from community service projects, to movie nights, to book clubs, to travel and more, each an opportunity for participants to encourage and empower other women in the group and make a real difference in their own lives as well.

The Girlfriends Connection’s largest group, “Gilbert Girlfriends”, recently rallied to address the unique needs brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Members, who affectionately call themselves GG’s, sewed face masks, shopped for the elderly members of the community, and shared supplies to those in need. Through it all the GG’s also managed to have fun with trivia contests, dance lessons, and virtual happy hours.

These fiercely loyal and welcoming women of all ages and backgrounds are proving women are stronger together! Join today or find out more at www.TheGirlfriend-Connection.com.

WOMENS EMPOWERMENT GROUP - What does the power of women connecting with one another look like?  When women connect with each other, amazing things happen to our souls, our family and friends, and our communities.

When I am able to talk to or FaceTime with one of my closest friends from Minnesota, my head is lighter for having shared our latest struggles with raising kids, my heart is fuller for hearing the latest update on the improving health of her son, and my soul is lifted simply knowing another working mom is experiencing life like I am.

When I connect and collaborate with other professional women, I am energized by their enthusiasm and creative ideas, I am more informed about current events from hearing their perspectives, and I am empowered to use my strengths and talents to make a positive impact on my family, customers and community.

Women have a unique ability to truly connect with one another when we share our experiences, our stories, and our lives with each other.  The power of that can lift our spirits, bring us together to achieve a common goal, and can empower us to go after our dreams.

KINDNESS CONECTORS:

Kindness Konnectors are an amazing group whose goal is to encourage and inspire each other while spreading love and kindness in the community. They believe that kindness is the most courageous way to spread positive energy everywhere. Kindness Konnectors focuses on building up and supporting others through overt acts of good. They try to lead by example to put smiles on faces throughout the world.

The group does daily acts of kindness to date: they have prepared sack lunches for the homeless, delivered flowers and visits to the elderly and sent cards in the mail to brighten other's days.  Kindness Konnectors suggest that you can take small steps to spread happiness throughout our community. Calling a friend, donate clothes you don’t wear anymore, create care packages for the homeless. The group connects mainly through facebook to share their good works and positive stories to make you smile!
