The Woodland Hills- Built in Neighborhood Fun!

The community where everyone is treated like a neighbor

Celebrating its fifth anniversary, one of the newest communities to the Greater Conroe area is The Woodlands Hills, a Howard Hughes 2,000-acre forested master-planned community lined with an abundance of trees and open space. The party will be on July 22nd and will give visitors a chance to tour 15 fully furnished and beautifully decorated model homes in a community where nature, good schools, community engagement, friendly neighbors, and plenty of activities for the entire family are the norm.

Located in the Willis ISD area with entrances on FM 830, residents enjoy walking trails, six parks, a dog park, a fitness lap pool, a recreational pool with a lazy river, and tennis courts in a 17-acre Founder’s Park.  With room to grow, The Woodlands Hills will eventually be home to 20 neighborhood parks!

Among the accolades garnered by The Woodlands Hills in 2022, the community’s Founders Park received the Environmental Impact Award from the North Houston Association. In 2021, it was recognized as a Quality Planned Development™ by the West Houston Association and North Houston Association. The Quality Planned Development recognition certifies that a development has been designed to follow a stringent set of quality standards, commonly found in “superior master planned communities

Within Founder’s Park, where the free fifth anniversary celebrations will take place, is a 10,600 square foot Activity Center with room for events, a kitchen, and a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, including a rowing machine, treadmills, spin bikes, rubber kettlebells, medicine balls, and resistant cables.

The multi-faceted pool area in Founders Park is a great place to enjoy the hot summer days. Residents can enjoy a zero-entry, resort-style pool, lazy river, deep-end jumping boulders, a climbing wall, sunning decks, and shade structures over portions of the pool and cabanas. A dedicated fitness pool with lap lanes is also available. Near the pool area is a nature-inspired playground complete with a “sprayground”.

One of the park’s most charming elements is the pedestrian bridge set over a beautiful natural stream. The bridge connects residents to the Lucy and Gus Dauzat Dog Park. This special, one-acre gated park offers a designated outdoor space for residents to bring their furry friends to enjoy a doggone good time among towering trees and lush landscapes.

The Woodlands Hills community offers plenty of opportunities to get into a healthy routine of taking daily walks, and families will love the small-town values at the center of education in Willis ISD. Meador Elementary and Brabham Middle School are both located adjacent to the property, with a connecting pathway from The Woodlands Hills, providing a short walk to and from school for children and families. Willis High School is located just east of I-45 on FM 830, less than 2 miles away!

The residentials have shared that they love the feel of the community where everyone is treated “like a neighbor.” Small groups increase relationships to keep the “small town feel” in the community.  From Mommy and Me to Empty Nesters, there is something of interest for everyone at The Woodlands Hills!

“We are proud to mark the fifth anniversary of The Woodlands Hills, a true hidden gem surrounded by nature and amenities,” said Steve Sams, Senior Vice President, Master Planned Communities, Residential - Houston Region for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “Whether you are seeking a new home or simply want to help us celebrate our wonderful community, we invite you to join us and enjoy our anniversary event on Saturday, July 22.”

The free, family-friendly event will include live music, rock climbing walls, inflatables, and other kid-friendly events. During your visit, be sure to tour the brand-new model homes with a chance to win door prizes. The festivities will be at the Activity Center at Founders Park, located at 1460 North Teralyn Hills Drive, just west of I-45 off FM 830.
