Glow Day isn’t just about makeup or clothes. It’s about rediscovering yourself. Created by local fashion and image stylist Elen Martianova, this one-day experience brings together Maple Grove’s best boutiques, beauty experts, and creative professionals to celebrate real women and the light that shines from within.
This season’s Glow Day honored two remarkable women, Heather Lanari and Jenna Kuhlman, who were lovingly nominated by their families to enjoy a day focused entirely on them. Heather was nominated by her daughter, Isabelle, who shared, “She takes care of everyone and can forget to take care of herself.” Jenna was nominated by her mom, Corliss O’Donnell, who described her as having “an old soul, always so kind and considerate to others, and deeply in tune with people’s feelings.” Both women are known for their warmth, generosity, and the way they lift up those around them. Glow Day lets them step back from daily routines and rediscover how good it feels to be cared for.
The morning began with a personal consultation where Elen took time to understand each woman’s personality, lifestyle, and what makes her feel beautiful. “That first step is the foundation,” she says. “It’s not just about fashion. It’s about helping each woman feel like the best version of herself.”
Next came a relaxing visit to Glo Nails & Spa, where the women selected manicure and pedicure shades that reflected their natural style, soft, timeless colors that set the tone for the day ahead.
At Reflect Salon, stylists added the finishing touch with beautifully balanced hairstyles full of movement and life. Each look was designed to complement the women’s new outfits and natural beauty, bringing everything together with a sense of grace and ease.
Local makeup artists at Bradley Douglas Salon Spa completed the next step of the transformation, focusing on enhancing each woman’s natural features with soft, glowing tones that highlighted their individuality. The goal was to create a look that felt authentic, fresh, and effortlessly confident.
From there, the experience continued through Maple Grove’s favorite boutiques, Leela & Lavender and Sorted Boutique, where Elen curated looks tailored to their unique personalities.
For Jenna, the style leaned toward modern street chic, effortless, comfortable, and fashion-forward. For Heather, the vibe was relaxed boho elegance, flowing fabrics and earthy tones that matched her warmth and gentle strength. Each look reflected who they are inside and out.
The experience was beautifully captured by photographer Sofia Martianova (@sofianovaphoto), who documented the joy and emotion of the day. As the day came to a close, the photos revealed the smiles, laughter, and genuine beauty that defined the experience.
“This project is about more than style,” Elen shares. “It’s about connection, confidence, and reminding women that everything they need to shine is already within them and within our community.”
