All work and no play….nope, we’re not going to use that old saying as an excuse! The truth is, everyone deserves a break from spring cleaning, and what better way to do that than to relax with a nice glass of wine? Yes, let’s all raise a glass and toast to the beginning of spring!
The new Bloom Winery location opened in Good Hope in 2024, and we’re all about getting a little dressed up and heading there for a good time with friends.
From their vineyard in Rogersville, Owners Eric and PJ Cornelius, along with daughter Bella Cornelius Tripp, brought Bloom Winery to Cullman County, and we are here for it!
“We began with a dream of creating a space where wine, family and community come together. We started with a small test vineyard in 2015, which has grown to about 70 different grape varieties to find what worked best,” Eric Cornelius told me. “After years of learning and dedication, we opened our first location in Rogersville in 2021. The response from the community was incredible, and in 2024, we expanded with two more locations in Hampton Cove and Good Hope.”
He said they chose the Good Hope location because it felt like the perfect place to bring something unique — a combination winery and brewery.
“Partnering with Ethos Brewing has allowed us to create a space where there’s truly something for everyone,” Cornelius explained. Ethos Craft Brewing and Bloom Winery are located at 1849 County Road 222.
“When you visit Good Hope, you’ll find a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Guests can enjoy wine, wood-fired pizza, charcuterie boards and Ethos beer, making it a great spot to spend time with friends, family or someone special,” he smiled.
“We’re also passionate about staying connected with our community. Whether it’s through hosting events, live music or focusing on sustainability, we aim to make a positive impact. Many of the details in our spaces, like handmade shelves and wood-fired ovens, are crafted by Eric Cornelius, adding a personal and thoughtful touch,” said Bella Cornelius Tripp, who runs the wineries. “For us, it’s all about the people. We love seeing guests become part of the Bloom family, and we’re grateful for our hardworking team who helps make every visit special.”
