In the heart of South Austin, Your Tale, founded by Bryan Ray and Staci Lammering, serves as a timeless vessel for preserving memories. Established less than a year ago, their business specializes in personalized, in-person audio and video interviews. Initially focusing on elderly parents and grandparents, their unique approach has expanded to embrace new and expecting parents.
The process begins with the question, "What is your earliest memory?" This inquiry launches a journey through time. The interviews capture quirks and mannerisms, from infectious laughter snorts to contemplative "hmmmmm" moments, ensuring that the essence of loved ones lingers even after they've passed.
The idea for Your Tale emerged when Staci's father passed away from Leukemia. The following Christmas, Bryan, a two-time nominee for Austin Music Awards' Producer of the Year, gave his Wife and her family an interview he'd recorded with her mother. Recognizing its impact, Bryan interviewed his own parents and others, leading to the birth of Your Tale in 2022.
