Timeless Style

In the Clinic and Beyond, Sarah Saxon, M.D. Elevates Everyday Elegance with an Eye for Natural Beauty and Lasting Results

In both fashion and facial aesthetics, I believe style should stand the test of time. As a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon, my goal is to help patients feel confident, natural, and effortlessly themselves—not transformed into someone else or shaped by fleeting trends. That same philosophy guides how I dress each day and approach the many decisions required in running a medical practice.

I’ve never subscribed to the idea that style should be driven by the moment’s trendiest look. Instead, I believe in a well-curated wardrobe built on elevated simplicity, composed of pieces that make you feel confident without constant reinvention. Give me the perfect pair of jeans and a crisp white tee, and I feel more like myself than I ever would wearing the trend of the month. These classics—like natural beauty—never go out of style.

My go-to look for clinic days is equally streamlined. You’ll typically find me in a dress and heels, not just because it looks put-together, but because it removes the mental clutter of mixing separates. When you run a busy practice, the last thing you want to do at 6 a.m. is stand in front of your closet debating what to wear. I’ve found that a great dress solves that dilemma instantly.

Lately, I’ve gravitated toward Donna Karan designs—they’re flattering, timeless, and move with me from patient consults to surgery planning meetings. As for heels, nothing beats the Sam Edelman Hazel stiletto. It’s the rare shoe that manages to be both chic and comfortable enough for hours on my feet. With a little added arch support from The Good Feet Store, I can get through a full day with stamina and style intact.

But style is about more than clothes; it’s about consistency in how we present ourselves and how we care for others. In the world of aesthetics, trends come and go. One month it’s exaggerated cat eyes; the next it’s ultra-plumped lips. But just as I wouldn’t chase every fashion fad, I don’t offer treatments that don’t align with my core aesthetic: refined, natural, and timeless.

My goal is never to make someone look like they’ve had “work done.” Instead, I want every patient to walk out looking refreshed, like the best version of themselves. I believe in enhancing what’s already there, not reshaping it beyond recognition. That means turning down procedures that I know won’t age well or could leave a patient looking overdone in six months. It also means focusing on proportions, bone structure, and subtle adjustments that bring harmony to the face.

There’s an elegance in simplicity, both in style and in surgery. The most successful results are often those you don’t immediately notice—where people look rested and more vibrant, but you can’t quite put your finger on why. That’s the sweet spot I aim for in every treatment, whether it’s a subtle lip lift, a deep-plane facelift, or a tailored medspa regimen.

Ultimately, great style—like great results—should be effortless. It should make you feel confident, comfortable, and like yourself. Whether it’s the shoes I choose in the morning or the surgical plan I design for a patient, it all comes from the same place: a belief in quality over quantity, in elegance over extravagance, and in the kind of beauty that doesn’t expire with the next season.
