Tips and Tricks from an RV Expert

Findlay RV has been providing the RV experience since 1987 and its staff has been enjoying the lifestyle for decades. With RV popularity through the roof and the recreational vehicle industry in general having quite a moment, we asked Sales Manager Lee Rausch to share his industry insight. Here are some of his top tips and tricks:

  • RVs are in high-demand right now with families traveling domestically and in small groups. And with low availability from slow production rates due to the pandemic, its difficult to find an RV on a lot for very long. We recommend that if you find something that meets 80 percent of your needs and wants, buy it! Chances are it won’t be there the next day.
  • People own RVs to go many different distances, but there are several locations close to Vegas that RV-goers travel to after purchasing a RV. Some of the top locations are Duck Creek and Zion in Utah, which are just a couple of hours away. Also, Lake Tahoe or San Diego. They even take quick day trips to Mount Charleston.
  • For RV owners, it’s important to keep your vehicle in top, safe, shape. Maintenance is fairly simple with normal annual services. Bringing your RV into your local RV dealer for a quick annual inspection of all components will help it be reliable and last for decades.
  • Life reminder: a lot of people dream and talk about “some day,” “if I only could,” “when I make more money.” Life is short, families grow up, life moves on, don’t wait to make your memories.
