Travis Groome: The ONE Real Estate Group

The ONE Real Estate Group is a collaborative group of brokers from across the globe who recognized very quickly that they all shared the same vision: creating an elevated experience for their clients.

Agent Travis Groome says the group has more than 30 years of collective experience in the industry.

“We bring more diversity to the real estate world as a team than any individual can, and with that comes our expertise from backgrounds of many varieties; marketing, negotiating, design, construction and development, retail, law, education, and finance to name a few,” he says.

Groome himself has been licensed for almost 20 years, and on a team in the Bellevue and Seattle area for four years.

The idea for the ONE Real Estate Group was sparked one day as Groome was having lunch with a friend. They realized many people in their circle were working on various projects, ranging from new construction to commercial developments. While their roles varied, they were all working for the same goal: helping clients build wealth through real estate. They had already started collaborating within the group.

As Groome sat at lunch with his friend—now, one of his business partners—the next step seemed obvious.

“I said, ‘Why aren’t we just working together as a team?' And from that day on, the rest is history.”

Now, the group is recognized as the #1 total sales volume group for Keller Williams Bellevue.

“We are working tirelessly to maintain that honor, and at the same time, expanding our markets to include several other states across the country,” he says.

“We want to help clients realize their dreams from coast to coast, and someday maybe even beyond.”

No matter where their work takes them, he says they always want to maintain ties to what is important at home, their neighbors.

The ONE’s approach to business is “quite simple,” he says. “We prefer to work with people, directly. A good old fashioned face to face conversation, in person meetings and conversations about their goals.”

Many business services now rely almost entirely on tech apps and virtual life hacks these days, but the ONE Group prefers to focus on what can’t be replaced or duplicated.

"Learning about people can never be repacked with technology, and we love that!” he says. “In fact, we thrive on that. While others may focus on those elements, we focus on not being distracted by the ‘shiny squirrel' and never losing sight of the client as our priority and our focus in everything we do! Certainly technology can augment our level of service, but will never reface it.”

From prepping a property and getting the lawn carefully clipped to providing their in-house complementary staging, professional photography and lifestyle video, to in person showings and guided tours, he says they want to “ensure the human connection is present in every aspect” of what they do.

They approach every part of their careers with an openness and willingness to collaborate, rather than compete.

“I think that sets us apart from many,” he says. “We listen, we work together, we learn together, and we enjoy the process and the experience because of that mindset that we all need each other and that ‘rising tides float all boats.’ In that thinking, we deliver results, we hold ourselves accountable to an incredibly high standard, and we never lose sight of the client being the reason behind it all.”

He adds, “Oh, and yes, we have a LOT of fun along the way!”

When they aren’t helping clients achieve their goals, they are supporting common goals in the community.

They share many projects and events that benefit such great organizations as Bellevue Lifespring, Jubilee Reach, Kirkland Boys & Girls Club, and Mary’s Place. These organizations rely on community involvement.

Groome says, “We can never do enough to support them, and we encourage all of our friends and colleagues to continue to find ways to give back. It truly is the most gratifying feeling to know that you have paid it forward in any way that you can."
