A remodel doesn’t have to be a massive project to make a huge difference to the look and feel of your home. Just because you don’t need your whole house remodeled doesn't mean you can’t make significant improvements to your home with changed spaces.

In fact, some smaller remodels and changes can give the highest returns on investment of any remodeling project. Brent Cornman of Brend Cornman Construction is a master at this.

Brent and Susan Cornman started Brent Cornman Construction in 1991 with the hopes and dreams that they would one day be able to help many families live in their dream homes. In addition, he can take any existing home and freshen it up with a renovation project to create a living space that's stunning and new.

"I've been doing this for 34 years, and I started out when I was really young. I was building treehouses and forts when I was 10 years old," says Brent, adding that these days, he works on multimillion-dollar properties and jobs. "Remodeling a home can make people very happy by giving a house new life. We can take an older home and breathe life into it, and we can do it all while the customer lives in the home."

By choosing the right project to enhance your living space, a significant portion of the cost of the renovation can be passed on to future owners in the form of increased property values. Not only does remodeling boost the return on investment of a house, but the cost can also be recouped during future sales. Wood decks, window replacements and kitchen and bathroom upgrades tend to generate the highest return on investment.

"We can take four or five separate rooms and open it up into a large space. That's really popular. Last year, we did eight projects where we took the back of the house and pushed it out to create an outdoor living area," Brent says.

It’s not just the inside of your home that can benefit from small makeovers. A new and renovated backyard living space, additional patio and roofing and exterior renovations can change the appearance and curb appeal of your home.

Cornman Construction specializes in new home construction, residential remodels and commercial remodels. From complete house overhauls to specialized remodeled spaces, Brent says he has done it all.

"Time is our most precious asset, and we get things done in a timely manner with quality," he says. "Our subcontractors are also the best in the business. At the end of the day, we are a team and because we work with some pretty high-powered clients, our expectations are pretty high. I don't think you'll find a more experienced team."
