My name is Emma and I am 11 years old. I love to be independent in the kitchen. This recipe is a great way to use leftover Halloween candy and make it your own. You can also easily find spooky ingredients at your local grocery store. You can effortlessly make this Halloween-themed recipe on your own with minimal adult supervision. The main step where you need a grown-up is melting the chocolate because the bowl can get super-duper hot! My favorite ingredients to use are candy corn, Halloween-themed sprinkles, pretzels, and candy eyeballs to ensure it is Halloween approved. I also drizzle white chocolate over the top, because who doesn’t like more sugar! I love using this recipe at my friend’s Halloween party. It’s a big hit for everyone! Everybody is able to choose what piece of bark they want, depending on their super sweet candy taste. This can also be a great party activity where everyone can customize their own mini bark. I hope you will give this hauntingly delicious recipe a try and that you love it just as much as I do!
Ingredients
- 12 oz milk or semisweet chocolate chips
- 4 oz white chocolate chips
- ½ cup mini pretzels, broken
- ¼ cup candy corn
- Candy eyeballs
- Halloween sprinkles
- Optional: Leftover Halloween candy or other favorite toppings
Directions
Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the milk or semisweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until completely melted and smooth.
Pour the chocolate onto the parchment paper and spread into an even layer about ¼-inch thick.
While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the pretzels, candy corn, candy eyeballs, and Halloween sprinkles over the top, gently pressing larger pieces into the chocolate.
Melt the white chocolate using the same 30-second method. Drizzle it over the bark. Don’t worry about making it perfect. A few blobs just add to the spooky look!
Refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until completely firm. Break into pieces and enjoy!
Tip: Make it your own! Add your favorite Halloween candy or use leftover trick-or-treat candy to create a totally different batch.
