East Texas natives Cody Johnson and Chase Colston, lifelong friends and owners of Double Tap Entertainment, LLC., brought their love of live music and barbeque to Celina two years ago. Modeled after Chase’s Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival, Troubadour Festival was born and brought to Celina as a “bigger, more dynamic, and even better experience...” for festival-goers. Celina has proven to be the perfect home for Cody and Chase’s fruitful vision. This month, the third annual Troubadour Festival will be the biggest yet.

The first annual event took place in Old Celina Park in 2021 and will return to the same spot this year on October 21. With plans to accommodate the exponential growth of our town, renovations and expansion of Old Celina Park could not have come at a better time to level-up Troubadour Festival’s space and experience. In the first two years of the event, more than 7,500 people have attended. In a booming city like Celina, the Troubadour Festival found the perfect place to put down roots and continue to grow.

The festival will host more barbeque restaurants than ever with 43 expected vendors, 41 of which are Texas-based, and will feature multiple country favorites including headliner Chris Young, who will take the stage following Randy Houser, Kevin Fowler, and more. For the full line-up, tickets, parking, and other information, visit their website at troubadourfestival.com.

Headlining the event, accomplished country star Chris Young will highlight the evening. Chris is a muti-platinum artist known for his classic baritone and melt-your-heart ballads. His most recent album release “Famous Friends” is his eighth album and earned him one of the crowning achievements of country music: becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Chris will follow Randy Houser, another popular country music singer and songwriter. Randy caught his break as a musician following a brief songwriting career in Nashville, most notable for artists he co-wrote songs with including Jamey Johnson, Dallas Davidson, and Trace Adkins. As an artist, he topped the charts with multiple of his songs and received a 2015 Country Music Association Awards Song of the Year nomination.

Randy will follow Texas native Kevin Fowler, another country music chart-topper.
