What does it mean to age well?
For some people, it means staying active enough to travel, garden, exercise, or play with grandchildren. For others, it means sleeping better, moving with less pain, navigating menopause with greater confidence, or finding sustainable ways to manage stress.
There is no single definition of healthy aging because there is no single path to getting there.
Yet adults looking for ways to support their health are surrounded by products, programs, and treatments promising to help them feel younger, live longer, or reverse the effects of aging.
At TruNorth Vitality Clinic, you have a healthcare partner to help you separate meaningful, evidence-informed approaches from the latest wellness fads.
TruNorth Vitality Clinic offers a different path: person-centered, integrative care designed around you, your goals, and the life you want to continue living.
Your Health. Your Goals. Your Care.
TruNorth Vitality Clinic opened in 2025 as the newest of four clinics at Northwestern Health Sciences University, a health sciences university in Bloomington, Minnesota, with a nearly 90-year history of educating healthcare professionals and advancing natural and integrative approaches to care.
At TruNorth, care begins with you.
Your provider takes time to understand your health history, priorities, preferences, and goals. From there, you work together to explore an evidence-informed approach that supports your overall health and complements other care you may be receiving.
The goal isn't to tell you what healthy aging should look like. It's to give you knowledge, options, and support as you determine what healthy longevity means for you.
That might mean reducing pain, improving sleep, maintaining mobility, preventing falls, managing stress, navigating a life transition, or finding greater comfort during changes such as perimenopause and menopause.
TruNorth brings several disciplines together to support you and your goals:
Chiropractic care – Beau Foshee, DC, MS, uses a variety of techniques to support movement, function, and what he calls "vivessence": authentically, vibrantly embodied aging.
Massage therapy – Collette King provides individualized bodywork designed to reduce pain, promote relaxation, and address your specific health and wellness goals.
Integrated health and life coaching – Lisa Fay, CHC, CLC, works with individuals and families to strengthen clarity, resilience, and hope through career changes, family transitions, lifestyle and life changes, and experiences of loss.
Menopause Supporting Programs –Integrative Nurse Practitioners Laura Sandquist and Kate Otremba co-lead the “From Surviving to Thriving in Menopause” group program, bringing clarity to the menopause transition by helping to weed out the noise and creating a practical plan that will offer the biggest bang for the buck and effort.
A Partner in Your Health Journey
Your health is personal. Your care should be, too.
At TruNorth, care isn't something simply done to you. It's a partnership built around what matters to you.
Rather than applying the same approach to every person, your provider considers the many factors that can influence your health and well-being. These may include your physical health, lifestyle, stress, personal experiences, priorities, preferences, and goals.
This person-centered approach gives you an active role in decisions about your health. Instead of defining a single path forward, your provider works alongside you to understand where you are, where you'd like to go, and what approaches may help you get there.
That sense of agency is central to the TruNorth philosophy.
You know yourself, your experiences, and your goals. Your TruNorth provider brings clinical expertise, evidence-informed options, and support to help you make decisions that feel right for you.
If you're already managing a health condition, that might mean exploring complementary strategies that work alongside your existing medical care. If you're focused on prevention and healthy longevity, it might mean developing habits and addressing concerns today that can support your health and vitality for years to come.
Healthy longevity isn't about trying to stop aging.
It's about supporting your ability to continue doing the things that give your life meaning.
Health Happens in Community, Too
Your health journey may be personal, but you don't have to navigate it alone.
In addition to individual appointments, TruNorth offers group programs that bring people together around shared health experiences. You can learn from healthcare professionals while connecting with others who may be navigating similar questions, challenges, and transitions.
The Vitality Series offers another way to connect. These engaging, informative conversations explore topics that can help you better understand and support your health and well-being at every age.
Together, TruNorth's individual care, group programs, and educational opportunities reflect a simple belief: there is no one-size-fits-all formula for health.
Your goals are personal. Your experiences are personal. Your path forward should be, too.
