How does taking control of my nutrition empower my life?

Taking control of nutrition implies that eating choices are out of your control and there is a strict, right vs wrong way to eat. This signals a lot of emotional judgment. When you really clue in on how food makes your body and brain feel, how it impacts your energy level, and whether or not you are bloated or constipated, then you begin to feel the role our food choices play in your life.

How can I create a balanced and sustainable meal plan that suits my lifestyle and preferences?

Being flexible and consistent is key. Life gets busy. Here are my tips: Not every dinner has to be gourmet or perfect, choose simple recipes to start. Maybe just 1-2 new ones at a time; Cook enough for leftovers; If your day is hectic, grocery shop and cook on separate days; Whether eating in or out, start with a colorful variety of fruits and vegetables; Add a protein, especially fish; Add in whole grains as well (brown rice, quinoa, oats, whole wheat) and plant-based fats (olives/olive oil, avocados, nuts). I help people learn how to use foods to feel better.  When our bodies are nourished, we have the energy to do the things we love. Progress over perfection is key.
