UNIVERSAL KIDS RESORT COMING TO FRISCO

Theme Park Designed For Young Families Opens In 2026

Get ready, Collin County families. Playtime is about to level up. In 2026, Universal Kids Resort will officially open in Frisco, bringing an all-new theme park experience designed especially for kids and the grown-ups who love them.

This is not just another theme park. It is a colorful, imaginative world created entirely through a child’s eyes. From signs placed at kid height to bright, welcoming spaces that invite curiosity, Universal Kids Resort is all about celebrating the joy, wonder, and creativity of being a kid.

Seven Lands. Endless Smiles.

Universal Kids Resort will feature seven immersive themed lands, each inspired by characters kids already adore.

In Jurassic World Adventure Camp, families will race through twists and turns to help find Bumpy the Ankylosaurus, soar high for a bird’s eye view of the park, and explore dinosaur-themed play zones. There is even a chance to meet a baby dinosaur, a dream come true for many young explorers.

Over in Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, the fun is bubbly and bright. Kids can bounce through Jellyfish Fields Jamboree, spray water cannons, hop aboard sightseeing rides, and take a spin through Mrs. Puff’s Boating School. SpongeBob and friends will be there for meet and greets, making it the best day ever.

Fairy tale fun comes to life in DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp, where families ride through Shrek and Fiona’s story, splash and stomp in interactive play areas, snack on swamp inspired treats, and meet everyone’s favorite ogres.

For families who love water play and silly fun, Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club delivers non stop excitement. Expect water blaster battles, spinning rides, playful competition, themed snacks, and plenty of laughs as Yellow and Purple Minions face off.

Music lovers will want to head straight to DreamWorks’ TrollsFest, where kids can dance, sing, ride colorful attractions, enjoy live shows, and even get Trolls inspired makeovers with sparkles and accessories. It is high-energy, high-color fun from start to finish.

At DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar, little heroes can soar through the air, enjoy puppet shows, meet favorite characters, and explore sensory gardens designed to help kids pause, reset, and recharge.

Tying it all together is the Isle of Curiosity, the park’s welcoming gateway. Families can dance with Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse, grab rainbow cupcakes, fuel up at the café, and shop for must have souvenirs at the flagship Universal Kids Resort Store.

Designed for Kids and Parents

What sets Universal Kids Resort apart is its thoughtful approach to family fun. The park is designed to feel exciting without being overwhelming, with plenty of places to play, rest, snack, and reconnect. It is a space where kids are encouraged to be themselves, curious, energetic, imaginative, and joyful.

Stay Close to the Fun

Just steps from the park, the Universal Kids Resort Hotel makes weekend adventures easy. Family-friendly rooms sleep up to six and include bunk beds and suites with separate bedrooms. A pool, game room, café, and additional amenities ensure the fun continues even after the park closes.

A Big Win for Collin County

For families across Celina, Prosper, McKinney, Allen, Plano, and surrounding communities, Universal Kids Resort is set to become a go-to destination for day trips, birthdays, staycations, and memory-making weekends. With its location in Frisco, the magic is close to home and perfectly timed for Collin County’s growing family community.

In 2026, kids will not just watch their favorite worlds on screen. They will step right into them, creating memories that last long after the day ends.  UniversalKidsResort.com
