Shop Owner and Herbalist Beth Ebbing Johnson Practices Holistic Healing

Hidden in plain sight next to Mazama Coffee on Mercer Street, Sacred Moon Herbs stands as a beacon of holistic healing.

Shop owner and herbalist Beth Ebbing Johnson’s love of herbs and nature came from growing up on her family’s farm where she spent her time playing in the woods. As a teenager, she left farm life behind for big city living in Phoenix. There she attended herb school and discovered her passion for herbalism, inspired by the teachings of renowned herbalist and friend, JoAnn Sanchez.

After leaving her job as an herbalist at Whole Foods and moving to Dripping Springs, Beth and her herbalist friend, Tara, opened Sacred Moon Herbs in 2012. Beth took over as sole owner in 2015. To this day, she continues her studies and passion for meditation and the chakras, a more than 3,000-year-old practice originating from India.

Beth shared heart-wrenching yet uplifting stories of individuals from high schoolers to parents to widows who have found solace and healing through the embrace of natural remedies over the years. She offers classes and events like the yearly women’s healing retreat and Herb Day, underscoring her commitment to community education and well-being.

Sacred Moon Herbs’ mission is to foster a connection between individuals and the natural world, where healing and transformation beautifully intertwine. For those seeking solace and rejuvenation, the doors of Sacred Moon Herbs stand open, ready to be unveiled when the time is right.
