Explore Local Farms at Ventura County’s Annual Farm Day

Find out where your food is grown and meet local farmers at the 13th Annual Ventura County Farm Day! All ages are welcome to explore area farms on November 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during this free event. From behind-the-scenes tours and tractor rides to produce tastings, giveaways and kid-friendly exhibits, this annual event offers something for everyone.

Check out the online Trail Map at VCFarmDay.org to choose from more than 15 farms to visit, then drive to the various locations and explore at your own pace.

Participating farms include the following:

  • Agriculture Museum of Ventura County: Learn about the history of local agriculture
  • Agromin: Learn about the composting process
  • Duda Farm Fresh Foods: Learn about the food journey of Ventura County grown celery
  • Good Farms: Learn the art of harvesting strawberries
  • Growing Works: Learn how this wholesale nursery supports mental health
  • McGrath Family Farmers Farmivore: Pick your own flowers at this farmer-owned food hub
  • Ojai Olive Oil: Learn all about growing olives and making olive oil
  • Oxnard Historic Farm Park: Enjoy live music, a blacksmith demonstration and more
  • Petty Ranch: Tour the avocado farm at the Farm Day hub
  • Prancer's Farm: Take a family-friendly tractor ride and farm tour
  • Rancho Camulos National Historic Landmark Museum: Discover the history and myths of this national landmark
  • Rio School Farm: Learn about regenerative farming practices 
  • SEEAG's Farm Day Hub at Petty Ranch: Experience the Farm Lab program and visit the various vendor booths
  • Ventura County Agriculture/Weights and Measures: Meet Ventura County agricultural inspectors and biologists

Ventura County Farm Day is organized by SEEAG (Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) with the mission to educate students and the greater community about the farm origins of our food and agriculture's contribution to our nutritional well-being.
