Village On The Isle, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community located on the island of Venice, and Tidewell Hospice have announced an enhanced working relationship to offer dedicated inpatient hospice care at Village On The Isle’s campus.
Village On The Isle owns and operates a full continuum of independent living, assisted living, memory care support, and skilled nursing care on its 16.5-acre campus. For the past few years, Village On The Isle has undergone a major expansion and renovation that includes the addition of a new 66,000 square foot Health Center featuring all private rooms and amenities for residents who need around-the-clock nursing care and short-term rehabilitative support. The Tidewell Care Center at Village On The Isle will occupy eight of the 64 private suites to provide dedicated inpatient hospice services.
Criteria for admission will be the same as it is for Tidewell’s hospice houses. Patients in need of continuous symptom control can be admitted to the Care Center for around-the-clock care while their condition is stabilized. When those symptoms are brought under control and patients, and their family members feel comfortable making the transition, they can return to their residence.
